That's probably my favorite striker fired polymer gun of all. I have a full size and a compact, and shoot and carry both tons. Fantastic gun and great ergos and trigger.

I'm kind of stunned they aren't more popular. I had wanted several new Walther offerings over the last decade, but few have the paddle release. Once you get used to it, you want them on every pistol. I put fiber optics on both of mine and they are great shooters. Outside of a couple of micro carry guns, and a couple of oddballs like P7s,they are the only polymer pistols I own anymore. I used to have a dozen Glocks, HKs, and so forth. All are gone now. These 2 aren't leaving the stable.

I use my thumb but it's not even a conscious action. I guess I could say that after shooting CZs for 15 years that neither is a traditional mag release after thousands of reps, but if there was a service to get a paddle release on my steel competition guns, I'd do it to every one of them. It's perfect.
