Necropost?

At my end of the state, I go to Firearms, LLC in Groton. It's not a big storefront, though.

Hoffman's is nice, too. Back in the `00s, I bought a few rifles from a long-closed shop on Rt. 66 in Meriden.

I read through the old posts, and it is sad to see what Connecticut has become. When I lived there as a kid the license plate had Constitution State on it and it was once true. I used to buy guns in Grannick's pharmacy in Greenwich Ct. He had everything from revolvers to machine guns, we used to shoot pistols in our back yards and go shoot rifles and machine guns at that Blue Trail range in Wallingford. It was a firearm paradise in the 70's and 80's when I was a kid, a shame what happened to it now.
I bought my first handgun from Hansons in Southport. But even back then (70s), there was a waiting period if one didn't have a permit.

Yes, we're definitely " behind the lines" in Connecticut. Folks point to California and New York as restrictive states, but neither have anything on us.
I have lived in NY up until several years ago and now live in CT. I must respectfully disagree. The process of buying a handgun in NY state was a royal pain in the butt, even compared to CT. I can't imagine that it's gotten any easier.
