Recently I bought another Japanese truck, this one made in San Antonio, but despite that I've been getting a ration of abuse from them boys I know who try to go places I go in their Fords, Chevys & Dodges, not that there is anything wrong with them rigs other than I cant afford them.

So today over a cup of Columbian coffee down at the Chinese donut shop we gather I had these guys start undressing to see what they're wearing.

Here's my own inventory today top to bottom (how 'bout you?)

Stetson Straw Hat made in Mexico
Filson Tin Cloth Jacket made in the USA
Patagonia wool sweater made in China
LL Bean turtleneck made in Cambodia
Terramar undershirt made in Jiangsu China
LL Bean Katahdin Iron Works Double Knee Pants imported
Patagonia capilene long johns made in the USA
Fruit of the Loom jockey shorts made in Salvador
Ragg Wool Socks made in USA material imported
Asolo Hiking Boots made in Romania
Bandana or Hav-a-hank made in the USA
Farm Grip deerskin gloves made in China
Browning stag handled trapper knife made in Japan.
Belt some American made gun belt manufacturer but I can't find no markings.

What's my point? Nothing, just getting tired hearing about running a rice burner. Heck, just settle back and have another cup of joe and one of them linzer tarts, their made from an Austrian recipe.

Sounds a little strange but okay here we go.
    I'm driving a Honda
Wearing shoes, socks, jeans, underwear, shirt, jacket, belt, holster, gun, in the pockets keys, two knives, a few coins and an eel covered wallet, comb and two extra mags.
No idea where they were made, purchased in the USA.

The Toyota Camry which is made here in Kentucky is more "American made" than the Corvette which is made two hours south in Bowling Green. When Toyota built the Georgetown plant a good number of it's suppliers were already located or built within a days drive of the plant. Shoot there's a dozen or better factories in the hour and 15 minute drive up I64 and I75 from my house that supply it. The number of people in Ky who got employed when they came in is unreal 8,000+ at TMMK and the suppliers the probably average 200 each(over 100 suppliers in Ky alone)

Years ago when Japanese vehicles started flooding the USA market and were wildly popular because unlike American cars they worked well and were not constantly breaking....maybe there was a point but .... not anymore.

Anyone saying anything differently is just ignrant.

Well, I am part Japanese. My grandmother was from Japan. She left Tokyo sometime in the 50's when she married my Grandfather, a Colonel in the US Air Force. My Grandfather was mostly of German heritage, but born in the US.

There is quite a bit of English and Scotch Irish blood in me, due to my Fathers side of the family.

It all added up to make a short athletic guy who looks either Jewish or Italian, but is really neither.

I love confusing racist bigots. ;)

Guys rant about buying American. Ain't that easy and/or affordable. I'm not quite sure where the belt and holster makers source their leather.

It's my impression many American car manufacturers are dropping passenger cars, sedans, and focusing on the SUV and truck markets.
