What caused this?

    This shell casing is from a 4-40 corbon. 280 gr bullet. We think it is from an over powered load. The gun is a Desert Eagle. IMI shell casing. Shooting it this weekend and this isn't the only case like this.

    Could be overpressure, or terrible brass would be my guess. I haven't had any of my brass crack yet, but how many times have these been reloaded?

    if its a reload just about anything is a guess, you'll never know but the two most logical would be double charged powder or just bad brass. If it's factory, well you're pretty much in the same boat. If it's factory though I'd contact them.
