Brought a couple out that don’t see light that often, the scratched up Colt has got to be my favorite. I think the last time I shot it was maybe 4 or 5 years ago, a couple drops of oil and it shot like a champ. I traded into the Wilson and in typical Wilson style it shot great also, at some point I will change out the rear for one with a smaller notch. The 640 is one that doesn’t get shot that much either, it shot great also. I sometimes carry a S&W 642 and shoot it regularly, the difference between the 2 J-frames is light night and day with the 640 winning. The Glock 43 is one of those all the time pistols and was what I was carrying today so I put a couple magazines through it.

Shot LEOSA quals today with my Joe C modded Baer Hemi. Gotta say that this gun is just a pleasure to shoot, it's ridiculously smooth, Baer accurate, and runs like a top. No problem qualifying, shot 49/50 and 50/50, threw one round the first time through shooting around a "simulated" barricade at 18yds other than that it was a piece of cake.

If anyone is interested, this is the course of fire we shot today-

Took the new Experior, X9S and a old scratched up Colt to the range the other day. The Colt hadn’t been out of the safe in a year or so, it sure shoots great and makes me smile. The Experior has 700 rounds through it now with no issues. I really like the Experior and can see it being carried quite a bit. The X9S continues to be a love hate thing, it carries well, shoots well but lacks something.

What church runs a security team?
Unfortunately it’s become more and more common. Ours is a safety team with approximately 23 members, we actually train and qualify quarterly. Some of our members chose to not be armed and help with a medical response if needed.

I too three to the range today. 1985 Colt with some work by Karl, Wilson Supergrade Commander with a new front sight and the new NH Counselor. The Colt goes to the range every time I go, it’s just easy to shoot well. This was the Counselors first trip and it didn’t bobble in 300 rounds. It moves into the carry rotation now.

Took these two to the range today. The Kestrel just came back from NH after a complete overhaul. As can be expected it shot lights out. There is something to be said about shooting 9MM in a steel frame Commander. The Wilson recently came back home after visiting the pacific northwest. Shot 60 rounds through the Wilson and 240 rounds through the Kestrel. The compact magazine was split between my ULCC and Counselor, they were already loaded so I figured what the heck. I was carrying the Counselor and grabbed the ULCC from the safe.

@TheCollector good luck with the shoulder and the diagnosis. I’m sitting here 4 weeks pot-op total knee replacement and the first 2 weeks were a PITA but the past 2 weeks have been better. I had my other one done 18 months ago and the quality of life improvement was tremendous. At some point I need to have my shoulder repaired also. Oh and I’m younger @58 but have done stupid things my whole life.

In the month or so since I had my knee replaced I’ve bought two pistols. The first one was a Wilson Combat SFX9 4” and the other a slightly used Shado Systems CR918. The main motivation for the Shadow System 918 was that it had a red dot (Holosun 507) on it and I have been interested in trying a dot mounted pistol. While I still need to work on the dot some more I can see the attraction of dot mounted pistols. Both pistols performed flawlessly, 150 rounds through the SS 918 and 250 rounds through the Wilson, yes I prefer the 1911 style pistol. I’m not sure either will replace my trusty ULCC for daily carry but that SFX9 will probably get some carry time once it gets another couple hundred rounds through it.

Took the new Wilson ULC Compact Commander out for its first range trip. 200 round American Eagle and 50 rounds Hornady Critical Duty. Pistol shot great wit no issues. I figure after another range trip with no issues it’ll move into the holster. I also put 100 rounds through the Counselor with no issues.
