Took my WCSGT out for it's yearly exercise today. (3yrs old /940 rnds) It's almost broken in! With my advancing arthritis, 100, 230gr rnds is all I can take in 1 setting, but it's as smooth liquid mercury & yet tight as a frog's A$$. A few pics after I wiped it down. Enjoy gents. (Sorry guys it's Baron's high polished blue & CCH frame)

This past weekend took my gf to the range for her first time shooting. She liked the Ruger 22/45 with red dot, the Ruger Single Six .22lr not so much. She did ok, liked shooting but got too loud for her when guys with .308 rifles were shooting. Indoor range, so yeah.
I rented a HK USP compact and a Beretta 92fs, first time shooting either. I liked the USP, but the Beretta was irritating my lower thumb knuckle at the sharp backstrap edge just under the beavertail.

300 Blk build.

Dial in this AM.
BCM Upper and their 15" KMR-A.
ToolCraft Nitride BCG, Faxon barrel, mod 0 comp, inexpensive PA's 1-6 ACSS scope, Timnet 3# trigger, older RRA's lower.

Loaded Barnes 110 gr. Black Tip to 2410 FPS.
Shoots 1.1/4"- 1 3/8" at 100 yds.

It's good enough for intended purpose.

A SIG 228 that just came back from Mr. Robert Burke, The SIG Armorer. Had the Classic Series Carry Level Trigger Job done & the QRT trigger system installed. Tremendous difference, D/A pull is about 1/2 the weight it was before he got his hands on it. QTR reset was superb and easily managed.

Also picked up 250 rounds ($100.00) of Remington Golden Saber, 147 gr this morning. The 228 had no issues digesting the WWB 115's (FMJ) and the GS 147's (JHP).

All in all, a pretty good day.

This morning I fired two rounds of 110gr JHP .357mag out of my Ruger GP100 Match Champion.

One round each into the heads of these two American guinea hogs. We added guinea hogs to our little farm last December these two are the first to be harvested.

Ruger makes a great revolver, WC. I am partial to the old Security Six series. Although the SRH Alaskans are fun shooting too.

What did I shoot today? Not a dang thing!

Hope to remedy that this weekend. Some 1911 and Alaskan (.480 Ruger) time. Maybe some .357 Vaquero just for Canterbury.

I went to the range today with Sheila. She shot her S&W M-22. Me, I shot
my nightstand pistol A Gen 3 Glock G34 with a Surefire X300 weapon light and my Baer SRP 45 acp..
Sheila tried my Glock, she just shot two rounds no more. I saw big smile come over face as she handed my pistol back to me. We had a ball today.
Oh, Sheila is 78 years old and is up for anything fun..

Yeah, they do. I've had several over the years, really like this GP100. The Hogue grips are made at an angle that is very similar to the 1911 grip frame making this one point very naturally for me, just like the 1911.

Took a new Dan Wesson Specialist out for the first time this morning. Had a blast (pun intended).

Yes, I know I didn't include a picture. I'm new and still getting to know my way around the forum. Soon I'll be adding pics.

Took out a Sig 1911 Ultra and GI CCO for a little practice. Quick draw out of a Warbird OWB snapped to a Bigfoot belt. Long shirt tail. Fifteen yards. Drawing and shooting as quickly as possible, not taking time to perfect the sight picture. Just trying to stay focused on the front sight.

Obviously I need more consistent practice.

The Guncrafter is such a joy to shoot. Incredibly smooth. Great balance. If I had the money, I would put a lot more rounds downrange with the GI.
