Picked up a Weatherby Vanguard 270 Win out of the used rack at the LGS a few weeks ago. Mounted a Leupold 3x10x40 today, pretty afternoon so go it out to start zeroing the scope. I've only got a 50 yards to shoot in the back yard so I just pulled the bolt and bore sighted, fired a few rounds to get it on the paper. I'll need to take it to the public 100 yard range to get a final zero. I'd like it about 2" high at 100 yds.
After getting the 270 Win tweaked I got out the ole Marlin 39A to burn a few fun rounds. Love shooting lever guns. 🙂

I took the current build project to the range today for functional & safety checks prior to final blend & finish.
I ran 4 different ammo types & loads (about 100 rnds) through 5 different mag. brands. Not one single hiccup even though I expected some issues with a funky light loaded plated swc. I also wanted to better narrow my decision for front sight height. (Hence the blank installed)
I used my last build (the FS Bobtail) for comparison and took my B'year (50) LW 9mm that I just put a longer trigger in to see if Iiked the flat feel.
It was a good morning there with me making paper hurt.
The best part was they just regraded this pistol range so it was easy for me to police up every round of brass I spit out.

That stealth is awesome I might need to order one - I have an elite professional in 45 and love it and have been contemplating ordering one in 9mm with a fitted 38 barrel

Dialed in the final load on my .284 Win. Learned a lot on this project. Still amazes me for some reason that this cartridge is so accurate!

Ran some more rounds through Primes today. The Harbor Freight sun net works great policing brass and it’s cheap
