Was a balmy -10 windchill morning, so I decided to take out the MC Operator to confirm POI after installing the new 10-8 rear.
She is dead-nuts now... good times had!

How does this one compare to semi customs ? My LGS has an operator in stock and it was fit tight ! I am thinking it could be a good base gun ?

Which Operator, the new model or the Loaded MC Operator?

Fit and finish on mine is good, with a solid lockup... but it is/was full of MIM parts. That said, it is a great "Production" gun.
I am about done with what I wanted to do with this one... though either Operator would make a great base gun

They have the new standard operator not the loaded model
Thanks for the input I might give it a try

@Dwvalor, Is that your basement??
I would be a far more proficient shooter if it was lol 😂
It was one of the clubs that I belong to locally it’s about 10 minutes from my house they have a nice indoor pistol and rifle range there 👍
The other range I frequent has an outdoor steel pistol range and a long rifle range

It is Texas Independence Day Eve so my friend let me shoot his Garand some and I put 100 rounds through my Baer Stinger and 50 rounds through my Baer Custom Carry. The steel rang like ol' Generalissimo Antonio de Padua María Severino López de Santa Anna y Pérez de Lebrón's noggin did on 21 April 1836...

Not sure but I think I will get one of Rob's adjustable rear sights for the Quantico. Or put a regular long trigger in it to see.
Shouldn't have let that one get by me... you should just send her to me, since you are already making excuses! :ROFLMAO:

Was out running errands today and slipped into the indoor range since I was close by.

Ran a few rounds through the SA-35. No problems. It's not a 1911, but will suffice until I can fight my way to one. :)

Home for some afternoon coffee & quick gun cleaning.

I'll give it to JMB on this one....he made this design significantly easier to field strip & reassemble than I'd expected.

If nothing else, I'm enjoying this handheld history lesson.

MP and ACW today, I was shooting today just to see differences in dot and iron sights for me. I need to sell the MP and get me a 1911 with a dot.

Sweet Numba 13. :p

I hear ya on the 1911 with a dot.

I'm a few months into "the dot experiment" and it's no longer an experiment. The benefits are real.

Slowly but surely I am building capability to better utilize those benefits. Wish I'd done it sooner.....

The 9mm 2011's are proving to be the most fun I've had shooting in a long, long time. Those are my only single actions with a 🔴.

I keep on drooling over the thoughts of adding a Quantico single stack .45 to the mix.
One of these days, perhaps.

My "new to me" Springer RO Target at 20 yds. today. The temp hit over 45.... seemed like summer! Got it sighted in good enough to go to the indoor range with me next time.

Excellent shooting !!!

That is a super range you have there. I'll bet you have some serious fun there.

You, sir, had a great day.

God Bless Texas (y)
