Thanks guys..... at my age, I wouldn't be surprised if he mentioned "replacement"
I've had both hips replaced and if a shoulder is next I would have as much metal in my body as I have in my gun safe.
Sorry to hear about the shoulder.
Hope the visit goes favorably and some good prognosis is given.

Thanks guys..... at my age, I wouldn't be surprised if he mentioned "replacement"I hope it ends up being only some PT for the remedy. My shoulders kill me everyday but its an occupational degradation. My buddy got exercises with resistance bands from his Dr. and he showed them to me. I was surprised that when I do the exercises my shoulders feel great but I usually forget to do them or I'm busy doing else, sorta like now.
Yeah I'd take those shots without a hurtin' shoulder! I messed my strong side shoulder up at about the end of one outdoor season and had to stop shooting for a couple months it was so bad. Did strength exercises at home. It started to feel better and I could dry fire a full size OK so I went to the indoor range. It took a few magazines to stand up to the flinch of anticipated pain. Hope all goes well with your doc visit, @TheCollector !Sorry to hear about the shoulder.

I don't believe that. You've pulled that metal out of the safe and flashed it a few times.I would have as much metal in my body as I have in my gun safe.
I don't believe that. You've pulled that metal out of the safe and flashed it a few times.I've got 1 hip so far. My ortho doc told me go as long as I can with a bum knee and the shoulder. He said I'd probably have to have those re-done within my "expected" lifetime. He also said "ibuprofen is your friend". Ask the doc about joint grease. Mine offered an injection every 6 months but said it helps some people and not others. My meniscus is almost gone in the knee so he didn't think it would help me there.
Now that’s a beauty!

I learned a trick for just this issue from a competitor at a steel match last summer. Put some cartridges in a tray, squirt a little Liquid Wrench in/on it/them and swirl them around. It softens up the lube/wax and makes them come out of the mag and into the chamber much more smoothly. It's worse when it's colder, I suspect. This should help with that issue. While waiting for some polyurethane to dry, and even though it is extremely entertaining to watch paint dry, I snuck away to the range. Took the EB Custom. and the High Standard. I cleaned all the lube off of the Tac-22 and still it jams this up on every round FTE, FTE, FTE. Going to put the rest of the 2000+ rounds up for sale as the Buckmark doesn't play well with it either.

I cleaned them with brake cleaner, there was nothing left on them. Then I wiped very little Kroil on them with a patch.I learned a trick for just this issue from a competitor at a steel match last summer. Clark Sr 60’s full house build on an H suffix colt kit. From the insignia engraved in the grip it came with, the last owner was a serviceman. I also have the name of the marksman it was built for. Might have been Cook tho I don’t trust my memory on this one. Data is in the safe. The banner is in French and tho my grip on that language is weak, I think it reads “the eyes of the division”Know the history on this beauty?
