Initial sight in with the RPR 308 that I recently bought from @Big_gun_man and it went very well! Threw 6 rounds PPU mil at 50y to see where I was and then off to the 100y races. Now that it's close I'll be working with my reloads next.

Today was an amazing morning here in MT, on public land. I had installed a Lucid Optics P7 on my Daniel Defense DDM4V7, thanks to my buddy who owns/operates Full Spectrum 307. I dialed it in with a 100yd zero with 62gr Winchester green tips. Best 100rd day I’ve had in quite awhile. I then went through 50rds of Blazer 115gr aluminum through my G19 (had to practice with the upcoming duty weapon). While today was not 1911 related, it was a much needed break from 60hr work weeks, potential life changing promotion at my first civilian job, and all of the usual life fun with teenage sons and their driving habits breaking vehicles, a wife closing in on her completion of a bachelors degree, and missing UKC hunt tests with my lab due to avian flu wiping out the birds used for the tests and inflation making travel way more expensive than it should be. I love MT!

Spent the morning sighting in and getting more acquainted with the PWS MK116 Pro / Vortex Strike Eagle...
Been too long since I have spent a good amount of range time with a rifle... the shoulders will be hurting tomorrow. Good times had!
...yes, someday I will get a better rest, but it works well for what it is... even if it is ugly as sin!

Getting to know my new WC Vickers and my ultralight commander . Had a couple high shots on first string but settled down a bit on the second string of 5 rounds 8yards on a timer as fast as the sights would settle been trying to decrease my split times and still keep acceptable accuracy for IDPA and USPSA
Ran my fastest time ever on my standard array of 3 targets two at 13 yards and 1 at 17 yards Mozambique with a reload of 8.19 seconds 👍starting from low ready and went zero down 9 shots total each run through

Haven’t owned a Sig in a decade or so… did have a MK25 at one point. Saw this unfired one from 2014 just begging to be shot. Figured I ought to….

I have figured out that Winchester Silver Tip HP at 1250 shoots point of aim, as does some older WWB. New WWB and Blazer do not. They are 100ish FPS slower and trend left.

The Colt was an 80 series and the difference in the trigger was minimal to the 70 series shot right after it. Different, a little but not enough to know the difference if under duress. The Colt ran smoothly and I enjoyed it. Another first was the ACW in 9mm. Wow, that is a beautiful piece. Smooth, beautiful blueing, and it was extremely easy to shoot accurately. Without hesitation the first round was dead center and then I screwed up the rest trying to replicate that shot. It was simple to put them in a fist sized hole. The next enjoyable shoot was the AK. More fun trying to site it in and figure out where my hold was. So much fun with @Old Sea Dragon

This is the softest shooting 10mm I have shot. I have no idea of the spring weights as it is used but funny thing is it has a full radius FPS and it doesn't throw the empties any further than the others.
