They were having a S&W demo day when we went to the range. I shot the new M&P9 M2.0 Metallic in the middle below. I have to say they did a good job with the weight and balance of the metallic frame. Even better they improved the trigger pull significantly over the v.2 plastic. That's my 5 shots in the head A-zone at 10 yds. Overall a better option than the plastic, if this type of gun is what you're after.

Busted out my USPSA Limited gun to start running again - older STI Eagle with Extreme Engineering internals (tweaked by me), Brazos Lighting rod FO front sight, and a Phoenix Trinity grip. LOVE the PT grip…heavy with awesome ergo’s. Ran about 350 rounds to get reacquainted with her…

bullseye target was 30 rounds - 10 at 8yds, 10 at 10yds, and 10 at 15yds. About 1-1.5 sec/shot.

NRA target (red dots) is about 100 rounds. 50 were slow fire and 50 were a quick shot either from low ready or compressed ready…

Wilson combat Ultralight Carry Compact in 45 ACP
Nighthawk Costa CCO 45 ACP
All targets were shot at 8 yards
I had a couple failed to return to battery with Winchester silver tips in the Wilson combat a bump on the rear of the slide sent around into the chamber was the only type of failures I had seen in either pistol over 250 rounds today.
shot some :
Winchester silver tips-40 rounds
Sellier and belliot self defense rounds-40 rounds
Norma Redbox 45- 100 rounds
Freedom munitions hollow points- 50 rounds
Only failure were 2 -FTRB with silver tips in the Wilson , not shocked historically the Wilson doesnt like 185grn Hps runs like a swiss watch with anything else .
NH gobbled everything up like it always does . I did some grouping / reliability with 2” targets at 8 yards then went and ran an IDPA stage with both pistols about 4 times each .
NH has a very light trigger
Love the Dawson front it glows like crazy and is easy to pickup

Wilson has a more predictable trigger with a little takeup then a firm crisp breaking wall
Both pistols are awesome and great carry pieces slowing down split times a bit head box shots at 15 yards are not an issue a little easier with the NC because of the smaller fiber pipe

Spent a swell, yet frigid morning on the range with my amazing wife... and the X-Macro.
Getting ready for a big move back to Utah at the end of the month... so today's range session was a welcome break. Good times had!

How do you like the Macro? So far, I've successfully resisted the P365 craze but fondled one the other day at the LGS and was kind of impressed. I swore off handguns of less than 4" barrels but this one is kind of a hybrid with a 4" slide but a 3.1" barrel.

Its going to hard to NOT pick up a metallic S&W. They look great, and are priced right. I have the polymer performance center version, and it is probably in my top 3 or 4 best shooters

BFM drill conducted at 11 yards it was actually pretty challenging The best I could manage was 15.42 seconds including all of my points down I was averaging about 12 seconds for a raw time with the Wilson and 12 1/2 seconds with the Nighthawk

The drill was originally intended to be shot at 7 yards but I like to stretch it out a little bit more than that for more of a challenge
