Today was a groundhog that has been terrorizing our market garden. It's been pulling plants up, gnawing off leaves and blossoms and chewing on cukes, zucchini, and summer squash, and making a general nusance of itself. It's been a tough enough year without this voracious rodent making things harder. Tried to trap it but it wouldn't take the bait so it got a lead pill. 40yd head shot with a Henry .22mag pump and open sights.

Thick neck. Im guessing you live in a colder climate. We dont get them that thick in Texas

We're in Maine, getting chilly now. He was a nice buck, 174lbs hanging weight.
