That's what I want to do next is some long range shootin'
The right side of my brain says, like all good addicts, you should definitely get into it. Left side of my brain says, avoid it all costs.

This was a fun session though, weather was perfect, and we had enough wind towards the end of the day to really practice wind calls. The 19inch barrel did very well @ 1,035 yards, needed 12.8 mils for 1,035 yards.

I am a novice when it comes to proper hold and wind calls but will keep moving out further. My buddy has a farm where his sons have 1000' marked out to shoot. When I can hook up with them I will go and practice and one day make some hits.

We went to the range today so Mrs. Collector could finally shoot her new .38 Sup (another thrd)
I took my Guardian .38 for comparison and I also took my Kimber Aegis Pro OI 9mm. I haven't shot in a while and almost forgot how well it shoots... (my one & only optic)

Shot the Staccato C and the CZ Shadow 2. Didn't get to shoot for very long as I got on the range about 30 minutes before they closed. Had plenty of mags preloaded though.:)

On a side note, I figured out why both of our Staccato C's were not locking open on an empty mag from time to time. If I use the 8 round STI mags that came with the guns they lock open every time but with the 9 round Wilson Combat mags they do not.

Just 154 rnds of 147gr fmj (Fenix Ammo = Local to me) through my NHC Classic Hard Chrome

for the last 3 outings I've used Freedom 147gr,(new) Speer Lawman 147gr(new) & Fenix 147gr.(re-man) (all the same amount shot through the NHC )

By FAR Freedom was the cleanest ammo, Speer Lawman was FILTHY & the local guys "Fenix" were in between.
Freedom residue could just be wiped off all parts, Speer Lawman had to be scrubbed/brushed off with solvent. The Fenix took a light brushing (no solvent) to clean up.

It was a beautiful spring day here in east central Missouri and my granddaughter is on spring break, so I took the day off and off to the range we went.

Ruger Single Six from the early 60’s, Ruger Vaquero In .38 Special, and an STI Trojan in 9mm that was built about a mile from her great grandmother’s house in Georgetown Texas

Recently bought this Wilson Commander 9mm from @Old Rasputin. Took it to range this afternoon for the first time. 100 rounds of Blazer Brass 124 grain @7 yds. Used 8 new WC 500-9 mags. No hiccups whatsoever. These 70 year old eyes can focus on the front sight but the target is a little fuzzy. Thought most of the rounds were pretty much centered but they were a little low. Will work on this

Picked up this new Kimber Evo SP Two-Tone. Ran 51 rounds of 115 Federal Aluminum thru it on some steel, and it shot beautifully. Great trigger, great sights, and the LW aluminum frame makes this a very flat shooter.
