Model 57 target, 12 rds at 7yds. My first go 'round with the .41 Magnum and I can certainly see the attraction

Culled three 3 piglets today with my G21 of all things. I was going to use the Roadster but the Glock was handy and I didn't feel like opening the safe.

Brought a couple out that don’t see light that often, the scratched up Colt has got to be my favorite. I think the last time I shot it was maybe 4 or 5 years ago, a couple drops of oil and it shot like a champ. I traded into the Wilson and in typical Wilson style it shot great also, at some point I will change out the rear for one with a smaller notch. The 640 is one that doesn’t get shot that much either, it shot great also. I sometimes carry a S&W 642 and shoot it regularly, the difference between the 2 J-frames is light night and day with the 640 winning. The Glock 43 is one of those all the time pistols and was what I was carrying today so I put a couple magazines through it.

Older pic but I ran the WMB in a SS for a class this evening. I am very new to more tactical style pistol shooting. This thing made even me look good. As usual, no failures, just under a couple hundred rounds. I was hitting shots that I have no business making, albeit slower than the regulars. It's just so easy to shoot. I lost a lot of time on the draw and reloads but was darn close for the shooting speed. Not me at all. It was tons of fun and I'll go back. I was easily the youngest person in the class by about 10 years, and one of two running a 1911. The other one was a single shot kimber. All very nice people.

As some of you are aware, I am learning the wheel gun. These S&W were shot with 357 mag 158gr hollow point Prvi new Ammo at 12 yards. The V-comp no holes is a dream to shoot. The shorter 357 is a hand full.

Switching back over to the X Tac as my primary competition and training gun.

The trigger, front strap, and beaver tail are different on my X Tac than my GI No Name. I find thay I need some practice with it to be able to shoot well at speed. Likewise when switching back to the GI after shooting the X Tac for an extended period of time.

This was my best 3 shot string of the day. The drill was simple: shoot 3 shots from 25 yards at a B8 target in less than 10 seconds.

Circle

Full disclosure, my 5 shot strings didn't look nearly as nice. I can put a 5 shot string in the black, but barely. I think my concentration starts to break after about 3 rounds.
