The new Dawson Precision sights appear to be dead on!

Missed my range time last weekend, had to make it up this weekend. Hot as hell in there tho.

Could only do100 rounds this morning. Way to stuffy in the range.

Shooting from cover early (Africa hot here).
Strong side/support side from underneath FJ at 50/100 yds.
Checked zero on "pistol" truck gun with 64 gr. GDs.
All good.

Shot a round of Sporting Clays this morning and then 3 rounds of skeet.

This dirty girl. At lots and lots of steel. I shoot this gun better than anything I have ever shot, including a G19 gen 5 mos with an RMR. Unbelievable accuracy.

I took "The Impulse Buy" item to the range today... (to make a short story long) I didn't know why I bought this, until the other day.
I told Mrs. Collector that I had a Volkmann, NH & WC coming in the next two weeks. She asked me which one was for her..................... ummmmmm..... errrrrrr....... aaaaaaa.. I bought something really special for you!!!!!!! Hence the Glock impulse buy/trade...

Anyway.. I put all the SHE stuff on it for her. (Veridian green laser, the extended (bump) slide release & back plate to help her near 39 (70ish) year old fingers to rack slide.
So with a 5 min. laser adjust to sights on the hallway door knob. Off to the range we went.
When she started shooting she was hitting 3" to the side. I turned off the laser and used sights.... I was off to the side..... a closer look revealed what I think the problem was.. See rear sight pic.
A bit off center I would say.

BTW: She ain't buying the Glock = 3 quality guns deal............ I'll probably have to get her some fancy grips for one of her other shooters.

Put a new rear sight on the range officer, but as it turns out the gun likes a 6:00 hold at 20 yards. Don't mind the .38 wadcutter holes up top (was adjusting the sights for a GP100), the group you're looking for is the ten rounds next to the magazine.

Not bad for a gun I picked up used for 450 bucks.

Took a few out today that haven’t seen enough action lately.

War Hawk recon 45, T3 9mm bull barrel and Marvel 9mm.

Still can't get over how accurate this thing is. I mean, I was hitting 4 inch steel today at 25 yds like it was 10 ft in front of me. Only 200 rnds through it so far and decided to blast off a mag full of Federal hydroshock at the end of my range session just to see if it would jam on the feed ramp. Just to see if it was safe to carry it that way yet. No problem at all. Love the Valkyrie 45 CC0.
Althoug, I would like to change out the night sights for a set of Dawson Precision fiber optic. Does anyone know what size and configuration to get for this gun?

For my amusement today ...( going in for some minor surgery on my foot tomorrow -- so I will be off my feet for a couple of days....)... so I needed a "diversified" range trip today !!

S&W model 27-2, N frame, 4" Nickel ( .357 Mag )
Wilson Combat 5" 1911 in 9mm... ( my carry gun )..
S&W model 617-1 6 shot K frame .22
S&W 627 performance center model, 8 shot, 5" N frame ( .357 Mag )....

Drawing from holster with timer....double taps in under 2.3 sec ( revolver 2.8 sec ) / and Triple Taps in under 2.8 sec ( revolver 3.5 sec )...8 yds ....and it went well. ( 100 rds of .22 / 100 rds of .357 mag / 150 rds of 9mm...).....99% ( missed 1 shot with revolver at 5 o'clock ...but was 100% with Wilson 9mm.../ good day !!

Spent the day out at Whittington Center. Took some clays instruction and shot my
New model Ruger Red Label.



Then did some logistics for the Addicts Shoot West Oct 5 at the Star range. Had to ring some hanging gongs at 25 and 50 meters.

My buddies Super Redhawk, chopped, tunes, and ported by Mag na port, and my DW C-bob, 38 Super. Been awhile since I’ve shot a 44. Target was shot double action at about 13 yards

Shot my retiree concealed carry qualifications with the Sheriff’s office. For semi automatic I used my P226 SAO. It is the top target. For revolvers I used my SP101. The course is fifty rounds and has timed stages from 3-15 yards, including multiple malfunction stages and failure drills. This is the Glock course of 25 years ago. My office still uses it.
