Ruger target, 50rds at 7yds. The low shots were the first ones. The rest were after I made my self slow down and focus
SR1911 CDR 7yds 230g 50rds by awp101, on Flickr

Model 57 target, 12 rds at 7yds. My first go 'round with the .41 Magnum and I can certainly see the attraction

Let's see who else has been burning powder recently!

Met a nice fellow shooter at the range this morning. Shot 50. Practicing tactical, emergency, and combat reloads from a front pocket Neomag and an extra mag in the back pocket. Drawing from a TRex Arms Raptor aiwb holster. Now to get a bite to eat before heading into work.

This Pointman is like laser accurate for me.

And this one is pretty accurate also just the first few where a little off. Maybe going from .45 to 9mm was the reason, yea that's the ticket!

A Nighthawk, Dan Wesson and Guncrafter walk into a bar...

Had a terrific afternoon with my son-- him shooting his new Ruger 10/22 and me hitting the steel out to 50 yards, with a few Tmacs drills thrown in at the end.

First time out with the Dan Wesson Valkyrie in 9mm. I really like this pistol. Put 50 flawless rounds through it today. Wearing new Esmeralda Cocobolo grips.

Installed an Apex Tactical trigger in my G19 today. Shot a few rounds in the backyard to check it out. It's definitely an improvement over the factory trigger, but most anything would be.

Just got home after a little outing with the Ronin, my 686 and the custom S&W 65. They are all so much fun to shoot! Stopped at a shop to refill my 9mm, a little more than I wanted to spend but like to replace what I shoot up as I go.

I took a few to the range today.... different reasons for each.
1) The DW Custom that I have tinkering with to be 9mm/.38 sup. It just received a new WC BP extractor. I'm hoping it takes care of the FTF issues I was having in .38s mode. I also added Chip McCormick mags. (see Chip McCormick Mag. thread in 1911 general discussions)
2) The Birth Year Colt Commander .38sup. I just acquired from a fellow Addict a couple weeks ago. Its initial outing for me.
3) The I.A. Colt Commander back from Steve O. (see Integrity Arms Thread for further info)

First off......... I tip my hat to you shooters who are able to be accurate with an Older Colt (this is 1950 vintage) who can use G.I. sights (f**k, I can't hardly see them) and a "consistent" 5.75-6.5 lb trigger pull. **note** sarcastic use of "consistent"

Sprayege (made up word) of pattern is as follows:
Torso = 1950 Colt at 10 yds. :roflmaro::roflmaro::roflmaro:
Head = DW Custom... Center & right 12 yds .38 sup.... Left is 9mm at 12 yds.
(I love that gun!!!!)

Sure feels good pulling the trigger some.

Happy 4th Everyone.

Snuck over to the crowded indoor and ran 3 guns.....all are or will become carry weapons.

25' for everything today. No issues.

First up was the runt of the group. This little alloy framed .45 is proving itself nicely. 100% reliable from day one & accurate when I do my part.

Two single shots from low-ready. An aimed 7rd mag run and then a slowly fired aimed 7rd mag.

Next was 51 rounds from the EDC X9.

First mag was low-ready to center mass. Next two mags low-ready to center mass (1 shot) & to head (1 shot).

Finished off with 100rds of gubmint .45 action. This one remains 100% reliable. 400 rds through it now. Only bobble was a failure to lock back on empty slide on first outing...with new factory mag first use. Been using same mags for each session and no repeat issues of any kind.

First shot head shot & then chased it with remainder of mag.

Remainder were taken quickly at center mass....up from low-ready & chasing them.

Knocking the rust off and some trigger time is sure nice.

Dan Wesson TCP in .45, GI Hellcat X2 in 9mm, CZ Scorpion and Daniel Defense M4V7. We're fortunate men to own firearms and shoot them at our leisure. I am doubly fortunate to have my own piece of earth to shoot and hunt when I choose. Happy birthday USA; may you endure untarnished for another 244 years!

You are living one of the great American Dreams.

Much respect !!!

Sweet weapons and even better that you can run them on your terms out on your own property.

Tons of style.

The HiPower is too great of a gun to fade away.

It needs to be revived by a solid gunmaker. Was hoping NHC would have kept it. Maybe it'll return.

Enjoy that one you have. I'll bet they do carry extremely well.
