Model 57 target, 12 rds at 7yds. My first go 'round with the .41 Magnum and I can certainly see the attraction

Much prefer the woods to a formal range. Great afternoon and evening.

Shot the SA TRP primarily. Can't say enough about how good a pistol the SA TRP is. Watching targets disappear in front of the a1 always gives warm/fuzzies. The 6906 is showing its age but still reliable. ....and no i am not showing you guys my targets....but I will show you stuff surrounding my targets that managed to survive...

Gorgeous! I am too blessed to have lots of great, free places to shoot outside, within 5 minutes of my house. Only shot at an indoor range once or twice in my life! It is a privilege I don't take for granted, as I know many are not as fortunate!

I always try to burn some powder on the 4th of July. This year I put some rounds through my Colt 6721 Carbine.

I fit it with a Timney trigger, and a Leupold 3.5-10X 40MM scope mounted in a quick release Larue mount.

Hadn't shot the Stinger in a good while, so I put 100 rounds of 230gr lead round nose goodness through the Baby Baer today. I have noticed that my Hillsdales have a finer polish on the slide/frame flats than my Le Claire gun.

Kimber Custom 2 2 tone in 9mm. My old Colt Series 80 Mark IV 9 that was my first 1911 that I bought used on a whim has been finicky lately so it is at the gunsmith getting a few things done. I bought this to get a taste of something new in the Govt sized 9mm 1911 configuration and I have to say I'm digging it. Shot through 7 mags, about 120 rounds, re-loading everything once. A couple of CMC 9 and 10 round mags, a MecGar or two, a couple of old Colt mags, and the Kimber.

Nice groups with less effort required than on most of my other pistols, to the point where it could spoil me if I shoot it too much. The Gun is more accurate than me. On the first half of the first break in session one of the Colt mags had a failure to return to battery on nearly every other round. I replaced the springs in these mags recently and they're old so I'm not blaming that on the gun.

Once I reloaded them all on the second half it shot everything from all mags without a single failure including 2 mags of JHP at the end. Now at home clean, lubed, and in the safe waiting for its next break-in range outing. Now have to shoot the Colt when I get it back and decide whether I want to keep it too or let the Kimber take its place and trade it for an AR. If the Kimber performs on the next couple of range trips the way it did on the second half of this first one it will double as a home defense and range gun.

I was shooting one shot drills from carry holster this morning. I noticed something when I was picking my brass up after the first mag. I didn't have to look for the brass as all landed in a small spot.

Just shot this young woodchuck about 15 mins ago with a Henry .22mag pump rifle. He was in the back yard, shot him from the upstairs window, about 35yds.

Yesterday, I took the Jem-based 10mm I built, my re-barreled 2011 Commander, and my wife with her new EZ 9mm to the range to do some function testing of my pistols, and to get some fam time for the wife and her new toy.

My 10mms functioned flawlessly, and after getting the POA/POI in the ballpark with a thumbnail on the RDSs, I managed to put almost two boxes of ammo through them. I was just shooting at 10yds. with the wife, but they were grouping quite nicely with a standing two-hand hold. The 5" Jem-based pistol shoots very nicely for a 10. Very smooth, with not much felt recoil for a 10. I was surprised. I'm thinking the high and tight fit of the pinned GS and the rounded off frame and MSH may have a bit to do with felt recoil as the pistol is a very comfortable fit in my hand, but that's just a guess on my part.

But then the wife decided she wanted to shoot my pistols. And she shot them very well! She prefers the new build, probably because it's just a touch heavier and has a slightly softer recoil than the commander-length STI 2011.

She can't wait to shoot both after I fit the 40 barrels to them. But I want to see the look on her face when she shoots the STI with the full-profile triple-port comp on it. :D

Isn’t it enjoyable when they put the brass in one spot?

In my experience, that’s one if the benefits of a properly built 1911

Dan Wesson TCP in .45, GI Hellcat X2 in 9mm, CZ Scorpion and Daniel Defense M4V7. We're fortunate men to own firearms and shoot them at our leisure. I am doubly fortunate to have my own piece of earth to shoot and hunt when I choose. Happy birthday USA; may you endure untarnished for another 244 years!

Mrs. C. has really taken to the bigger, heavier guns for range work.
I finally reclaimed my WC X9L from her safe when I traded the Valor Gov't 9mm for it.

Sharon likes the 10mms fine, but she thinks she'll like them with the 40 barrels in them even better. The STI with the 3-port comp on there will shoot very soft for a 10mm, but it will still have a bit more kick than the 40s will. That and the comp will push the pistol more back into her hand as it reduces the muzzle flip. Or at least that's the plan. :)

Took the new to me Hard Chrome Valor I got from @Addicted2gunz. Two barrels 9mm/.38 super
only shot the .38S today. Shoots a little low/left but will shoot the 9mm tomorrow to see where the POI is with that caliber.

New to me PM2-P. For a entry level gun this thing shoots phenomenally!

Got hit in the face with some kind of debris on the second shot spooked me a little so had a flyer on the third shot. No problems after that, 16 shots in the ragged area. Didn't want to shoot this one too much but may have to now.
And I shot the HC Valor in the 9mm set-up. Still shot low-left but had some shells hanging up in the extractor. Don't want to adjust and throw off the .38S reliability, may have to fit one for the 9mm also.
