I traded my Nighthawk Kestrel to Addicted2gunz for his GI COO. As with my previous GI this thing is stupid accurate. 25 ft, first few magazines and I was chewing up this 8" target.

I've shot a lot of guns in my days and these GI's are the most accurate I have ever shot.

They also feel like they were milled out of one solid slab if steel ;)

Nice! Alex Zimmerman, and crew build top shelf 1911s. Nice shooting with your CCO!

Have you tried the Hellcat x2? Seriously, I have never seen anything so stupid easy to shoot accurately.

They are great 1911's, I really regret selling my FRAG. That gun was more accurate than any of my 1911's I have and have had. I want a HELLCAT.

I still own a GI Bobtail Commander but it's going to another addict in several weeks when he raises the funds. When I shot that the first and only time, back in August, I thought I was cheating.

I'm not sure what their secret is but it's substantially more accurate than Wilson, NH and Ed Brown.

This was posted today on FB:

I have my FB settings to show GI posts pretty much first thing. Every really good pic gets the same response from me: "That's IT! That's the one I want!"

I've made some purchases lately with my kids primarily in mind, but I am aiming towards having my x2 Commander in some yet-to-be-determined color before too long.

I have talked about my Hellcat many times on this forum, but my kids have not really had the opportunity to shoot it since the two oldest are not around that much. My oldest daughter shot my Hellcat for the first time a few weeks ago. She is somewhat jaded by having shot a lot of different weapons over the years, but the sudden wide-eyed expression on her face was priceless. Shooting a GI is a near "change of religion" experience. Shooting the x2 takes it further.
