Depending on clothes....Springer ROC or a EMP. one in 45, one in 9mm. Both have been through SACS.

BTW you sure ask a lot of questions on this subject.

Just started to carry, need to get a new compact 1911 soon. I only have 1 gun that is NOT a 1911 and that is similar (EAA 9mm) for a cheap truck gun. So all I have to carry is a 1911 and I love it.

I'm always a little surprised when 1911 enthusiasts don't actually carry them. Nothing wrong with that of course. I'm just not one for safe queens or range guns I guess but I am curious how the numbers fall.

What do you carry most of the time?
I'm the opposite. I don't carry 1911's anymore. One reason is I didn't have any non 5" ones and wasn't going to carry a government size.

Though, I'll be getting a DW VBOB and may carry it a little.

For me, I see it the other way. I think while 1911's are the poo, I don't think they're the best carry option.

I love 1911's! But,....... They're are more expensive, heavier, and hold less rounds than other guns I can shoot very well.

I think for me the turning point came when I realized that carrying 9mm didn't mean I was carrying the equivalent of a pellet rifle like I'd heard so much before!

Once you I made peace with carrying a 9mm, about 10 yrs ago, I didn't want to carry a 1911 anymore. Not
In 9mm anyway.

So, now even with 9mm 1911's that are more reliable, it doesn't make sense to me. I'd rather have lighter, more rounds and a cheaper gun (in case it gets lost, stolen or confiscated)

Of course this is just my opinion.

Ain't nothing wrong with carrying what you!

For concealed carry, which is nearly all the time, I carry a LCR 357mag. When I do open carry it is usually my
Kimber Ultra CDP II.
