You should know that you should have bought a 45acp as your first 1911. You would have been content with just one for a little bit longer.
Once you have shot your 9mm 1911, you will soon realize that the only thing that could make it better would be more capacity, and you will quickly find yourself opening up your wallet for a 9mm 2011. Then, you'll decide you appreciate the platform and want to expand your collection with something more "classic" and will be right back to the 45. Hey...it could be worse.
