Struggling to decide on order of purchase....

I know the next two 1911's I want......but also have rifle & shotgun wants, too.

Budgetary limitations will factor in. Grrrrrrrrrr.

I ordered mine with charcoal blued small parts. They won't be polished as smooth as the rest of the pistol, and therefore take on a bit different color, but I wasn't fond of the color of the nitre blue.

If I could afford it, a Prime in Charcoal blue, but without the nitre blue small parts. But I’d kill for a Prime in the standard blue as well.

My next 1911 will most likely be a double stack. So that makes it a 2011. That doesn't count I guess.

Something in 38 Super or maybe .45 with full dust cover. Maybe a Les Baer. I should buy another .45 as I sold all mine. But I have a bunch of ammo in 45. So I need to get a 45. Maybe ..

You introduced me to GI, but I would suggest either the Les Baer Monolith or the Guncrafter Monolith. If price is not an issue, I'd suggest the GI Monolith. And if money is really not an issue, then buy one for me while you're at it

I need a commander in .45 and something nice in 9mm. Thinking maybe a V-bob and an Experior double stack. Or maybe another Baer... I'm sure something will pop up in the classifieds that catches my fancy.
So, a couple things popped in the classifieds caught my eye...

Next is a Staccato C Duo. This place is really pounding my wallet..o:

To answer the original question, my next 1911 will be from Wilson Combat and will have a front bushing, checkering on the MSH and the front strap, a gold bead front sight, and no front serrations. Whichever model that happens to be -- or can be modified to be like that. The stock grips will have to go, too. But I want the goodness that is in a high-end semi-custom 1911 plus a product incorporating the knowledge base and enthusiasm for the design that I see from Wilson Combat. If Wilson Combat goes out of business in the meantime, I will get something similar from Ed Brown, probably a Special Forces model.

I ordered an ACW Prime Elite with an adjustable rear sight last week and was given a delivery date of May 3rd. Last month I bought a Fusion 9mm long slide to hold me over.

Want a single stack carry gun? The DW Guardian in 9mm or 38 Super is good.

Double stack 9mm for carry? I love the EDC X9 but it’s not a true 1911.

45ACP? Not a fan of commander LW 45s...I like them full size 1911 or full size 2011.

I’m also an oddball like OldCuz and will say “get a 1911 steel commander in 10mm” if you don’t mind a little recoil.

My next 1911 is a Chambers WMG in 9mm. A future 1911 WMG in 45ACP is inevitable...

Well... picking this baby up tomorrow. So technically this is next...

Buttttt, I'm putting an order in for a acw brimstone today as well... however I will wait for that one to be made for me. I was thinking about getting dlp for it, but their bluing is done so well, I'm gonna get that instead.

I was thinking getting it in 9mm, but I think I'll stick to 45. I don't think a classic 1911 was made for any other caliber than what mr browning designed it for.

Acw does have that sweet 2011 so I might do that in the near future. Or a scadatto or whatever its called. Lol

I've been thinking about 4 1911s lately. My next one will be either a Kimber Super Carry Pro...
I'm on the fence about which one will be next. DW Guardian or Vigil Commander or Master Carry or Super Carry Pro. Passed on a Master Carry Pro online today at a great price but had 2nd thoughts because the front bottom of the laser grip seems to not cover the frame as it should. I want a laser grip. All have a small black line showing which I think is the gasket material below. Super Carry Pros have the wood grip that fits perfectly and covers the frame underneath completely. So I am leaning towards one of those now. It seems like at the $1200 price point, fit and finish should not have that bit going on with the grip.

So guys....DW Guardian or Super Carry Pro?

Whether you can afford it or not, tell us what you really want in your next, or even first 1911 platform and a little about why, as if that's necessary. Being 1911 addicts, we all have the urge. Show your pics too. :thumb:

I've been lusting after the Ed Brown Molon Labe model for a while. I love the message as well as the profile.

It's not a matter what we can afford, it's what we can justify...I try not to think about things I can't afford, kind of like women I can't attract. lol
