Not really, orange jumpsuits and bolt guns from elevated positions seem to go hand in hand. ....lolI bet you were expecting a 1911.

👍Dave, I live in a pretty well off area where most of the crime is traffic violations.
Two weeks ago one my buddies who had this same mind set as you, had his family over… son and his wife and two grandkids… they were doing just what you’re referring to, rolling around playing and enjoying each others company… they went out in his front yard…
All was well and normal…. Until a large stray dog came running out of nowhere…. The dog attacked him, and both grandkids… one of the kids took 15 stitches to his hand and he got 47 stitches wresting around trying to get this thing off him.
Sometimes shitty things happen. I’m not even saying I am a person who thinks “holiday/family gatherings” are a good place for carry. What I am saying is thinking you’re 100% safe and there is no need for a weapon is wrong. I know this for certain, as we’ve talked about it… he doesn’t go anywhere without at least a small pocket pistol or pocket knife.
Just food for thought…. I respect everyone’s personal option and choice on what the right thing is for them and their families…

I hate German Shepard’s.....My friend Vito had one named Princess....it was far from a nice dog....it was a scary scary dog....I’m glad you’re okay...this dog was frightening to the point i did not want to go over his home👍
I was attacked by a german shepherd on private property (not his) several months ago.
After the third time he hit me I said “well, I guess he’s not going to quit” and pulled out my pocket pistol (I had a 10 mm in the boat). As soon as I pulled out the pistol; the SOB turned tail and ran back into his property.
He hit me in the left side lower chest first, and when I knocked him back with my left hand; he tore into the back of my left hand, partially severing the tendons in my ring and middle fingers. That was extremely scary, as I’ve been a lead guitar player/singer for over 57 years, and am still playing now.
Next, he hit my right upper leg, tearing a foot long rip down the front of the jeans, and putting a hole in my undershorts, without touching the leg itself at all. (Thank God!)
That pocket pistol and it’s holster, along with a spare mag and pocket pouch for the mag, are in the pockets of the shorts I put on when I get up in the morning. That pistol stays with me until I go to bed. If I leave the property I upsize the carry gun.
That dog attacked two people before me, and two more after me. After the last time; they property owner made them move out (renters).
Bottom line; bad stuff can happen to good people, any time, anywhere.
Thank you Sir!I hate German Shepard’s.....My friend Vito had one named Princess....it was far from that scary scary dog....I’m glad you’re okay

I meant to say not niceSo why the hate ?
I certainly don’t hate the breed, but the judge in the hearing against the owners (that I had to attend as a witness) said that the breed was very popular, but in the ‘60’s they got so inbred (by the breeders seeking certain characteristics) that many are “crazy.”So why the hate ?

I don’t know about that, but that dog has a history of totally unprovoked attacks ( it’s even gone out into the street to attack joggers nowhere near it’s yard). That property ends about 35-40 feet from the road.
From the day of the attack until the property owner made them leave; I carried a 10mm OWB whenever I had to go to the property where I was attacked…
Thanks Bro!Understood.
Popularity and dipshyt wannabe puppy mills are bad juju for many wonderful breeds.
I can understand your apprehensions.....and I was simply referring to the guy who said he hated German Sheppards.
Glad you are okay and still playing.
I really like it. The bobtail helps with concealment and it shoots just like it is supposed to. Totally reliable, as I have never had a jam with any ammo. Very accurate also. It's my EDC. I don't think you will be disappointed with it. Good luck and enjoy.@Stodd I am purchasing an Aegis Elite this week! How is it
Holidays are usually the day to break out the BBQ guns and nice leather holsters. This year though I'll be going to the side of the family that has some pretty hardcore liberals and anti gun people, so mine won't be visible.
But I plan on carrying my Nighthawk T3 in a T Rex Arms sidecar.
What will you be carrying?
