In an effort to maximize concealment, picked up a pretty sturdy leather IWB. I realize any leather needs a break in period in order to have it feel comfortable. My question is more to see where you wear yours? I seem to insert it at about 3:00 O’Clock but I really feel the bottom against my thigh. Might look to move it back a bit. Tell me works best for you.

I wear my gun at 3:00. OWB and IWB. Until recently, I was a cop. For my adult life, a sidearm has been sitting at 3:00. I don’t see any reason to change that, now.

3-5 depending on the gun, clothing and degree of concealment required.

I wear mine just forward of my right hip so I’d say 2:45ish. I used to wear it at 4-4:30 but I have back issues and it would result in pain.

When I need IWB, it's a Milt Sparks VMII at about 3:05

3:30-4. No offense but a better holster might be the real answer. Good luck.

    Edit to ask: what gun?

Milt Sparks SS with ACW CLASSIC CARRY at about the 4 o’clock position. Extremely comfortable and very concealable.

The mirror is doing a reverse image, right? It's not the 9 o'clock position, right?

I carry at 3:00, Tenicor Certum Kydex holster, Govt. 1911.

The most comfortable setup I've used so far. I can't carry 3:30-4 because it digs into my back when I'm sitting, and I have pre existing back issues.

Tenicor makes good holsters. I have the certum 3. It’s very nice holster.

I generally carry at a 4-5 o’clock position on my right side, but I’ve been experimenting with appendix carry. It works fairly well with the ULCC.

I agree. I had a drawer full of holsters. Phlster, Trex Arms, and Tier 1 for appendix carry, and Milt Sparks Summer Special for 3:30-4 o'clock carry.

The Tenicor is the one that I use and carry daily, for at least 12 hours of the day.

So my esteemed colleagues......I have a question that is related. Those of you, like me that are a little more..say..robust or circumferentially challenged. What do you use and position? I will be carrying either a 1911 Commander, a Wilson ULCC or my Officer's. I am considering changing from a shoulder rig.
