or Sig 556 ?
Is both not an option? If not I'd probably keep the AR.
Both is an option, I just don't shoot rifles much. I have had the AR for three or four years and it has only been out twice. I just took the Sig in on trade.
Go shoot em side by side then decide.
Details on the AR,....what manufacturer?
I'd keep the Bushmaster,.......never could warm up to the Sig 556.
Tons of parts and accessories available for the AR. Time proven design
I love 'em!
Ideally, you should find out which one shoots better and is more reliable. But I prefer a gun that you can modify and find parts for easier, which is definitely the AR. I would stick with the AR.
I'd sell them both and get a LWRC M6A2
Of the two, the AR would be my choice.. Cheers.. Ron
The 556 I owned had horrible balance, crappy sights and the trigger sucked.
I traded it for a Ruger SR556 which as just as unwieldy (too much weight out front for me), but the trigger was better, as were the iron sights.
I sold it for a $5 loss and now have two standard DI ARs, one carbine, one mid-length. They suit me very well.
I should keep the Bushmaster.
One more vote for the AR.
There is absolutely no doubt as to which one of these 2 has more available parts, accessories,or other technical support.
As others have said, keep the AR.
I was in the same place as you. I decided to keep the AR. I will have my SIG 556 SWAT posted up here in the next few days if I can get motivated to do it. My wife is getting an AR and I like having a common platform. The SIG is nice, but is an oddball now.
