Who EDC’s a 10mm?

I’ve CC’d my G29 many times. I like it. It’s the same size as my G30S, which has been my EDC for several years now.
Just picked up a M&P 2.0 in 10mm that is able to have a red dot on it.
I’m thinking that this might be my new carry rig once I find the right holster and some extra mags.
Pics with the Holosun on it.

Glock 29 for me. Alien Gear IWB holster is comfortable for all day carry. Lehigh Xtreme Defender (or Underwood) ammo (my preference is the 100 gr bullet) takes a big bite out of the recoil the alternate 180 gr loads generate but I find the pistol handles both very well. I should have listened to Uncle Jeff 30something years ago and switched then but instead waited until a year or so ago. 10mm is my new favorite caliber!
Cheers,

I know a few that carry the 10mm and 3 of the 4 carry a Glock 29. The other carries a full size 1911 in 10mm.

When I carry a full size 1911 in 10mm it is my Springfield Ranger Officer Elite Operator

If I want to carry a smaller 4" sized 10mm it is my Smith & Wesson 1006

Off topic but what is the 10mm vs 400 Corbon. I know the 10mm. Is close to the 357mag. But out curiousity where does the 400 Corbin play in the mix

Fusion Combat 10 mm. Commander size and a great shooter. Glock 20 for a field pistol.

i think the .40 super has the slight edge on the .400 Corbon. Both are basically .45-sized cases necked down to 10mm.

personally, .9mm Dillon interests me.

I love 10mm. But have been lately carrying a full-size springfield prodigy 9mm that’s an absolute animal. Gun shoots so easy and it’s amazingly accurate. I’m shocked as I fit most the parts myself, polished, sanded and etc. it’s a blast to shoot. But have a 10 round state kills high cap carry

But. I have a new to mr Evolution Armory 10mm on its way. Hoping to get it today! Never owned a EA gun, but reviews seem to be great. Very excited. But, also had to part with my DE Valor 10mm in the trade.

This guy? He was a Nighthawk gut and rebuild from about 5 years back. Only the frame and slide stuck around. I have a few 1911s that have cost me more, but none that have brought me quite as much joy, or represented my aesthetic preferences, so well.

Love this

for the people carrying 9mm staccatos and prodigies (or other 2011)… if I were carrying one I’d definitely fit a 9x23 or .38sc barrel (or ream the barrel) and carry that. I’d even do that if I had a 9mm 1911.

The frames and mags can accommodate the longer better cartridge with ease. Keep the 9mm parts for gaming and cheap practice and carry something with a bit more punch. Cost is trivial since rotating actual carry ammo is likely only a couple boxes of ammo per year.

Honestly, that’s why I’ve never owned a 9mm 1911/2011. My brain can’t cope with giving up free extra energy/performance. That’s the beauty of 10mm 1911/2011 to me; you get an extra round AND more performance.

In fact, for the 10mm CCO I’m building now (hopefully for carry) I’m on the fence about fitting a spare .40 barrel to it for cheap practice or fitting a whole other spare barrel/extractor/FPS to shoot 9mm... knowing me I’ll probably just YOLOing it and shooting .40 through the 10mm barrel. 😅
