Does anyone make a modern, double-stack 1911 in .45acp? In searching, all I can find are striker-fired, or DA/SA.

I have an older, Canadian P-13, and an older H&K USP-45, that I carry in condition one. But I'd like to upgrade to a .45 with an optics ready slide.

I fear I may be the only remaining American interested in hi-cap .45acp with a SAO action.

Id stick with the USP, upgrade it if you choose but definitely stick with the USP over a double stack 1911 in 45 personally.

Yes Kimber 2K11 is available in 9 and 45 and 5" or the pro series is 4.25"bbl. Many finishes and some with slide cuts and some without..the 9mm target model is extremely accurate...no experience with the others...they also have limited 10rnd mode

Rock Island makes a double stack 1911 that takes P-14 mags and is pretty nice fir the money.. I am sure they have an upscale version by this time.
I also bought their double stack 1911 10mm and got the upscale version and it is a very slick pistol... You can tell they spent some extra time with this pistol.... very smooth..
I also bought Rock Islands' basic 1911 and again, for about $300 it is tough to beat, I use it for shooting Wild Bunch in Cowboy Matches...
