She don't compare to some that you guys have had done. But I sent an unfired brand new Mil Spec back to Springfield's Custom Shop right before they quit doing the custom work. Had them fix it up with what I wanted and nothing I didn't. I had a Springfield Pro and this would shoot just as accurate as the Pro which is why I said had a Pro.

Nighthawk Agent 2 in 9mm.

Scrolling through this thread, it's impossible not to take note of the wide variety of customization that the 1911 platform can support. I suppose Glock owners (for example) could state the same-- but in my biased but accurate opinion, they pale in comparison. I also know the pistol pictured above isn't for everyone, but it just underscores my point. Even if you don't necessarily 'like' it, you'd still like to rip a few hundred through it. I have handled thousands of firearms, and turned them over in my hands before handing them back and saying "cool" or whatever. But when I pick up a 1911, it's different...

I'd have to go with my GI model 3 , I thought it was just a novelty when I bought it a while back. After shooting and reloading for it, I have changed my opinion. It is probably the most accurate of all my 1911s, has much more knockdown than anything you can run through a .45 Auto, and my cost for reloading 50 GI is roughly the same as for .45 Auto.I love my PRO, CQB and Ed Brown, but right now I'm going with this.

The new guns look great, and they have built-in features, that used to be custom work. I will most likely get a new 1911 myself, in stainless. A Ruger or a S&W or a Springfield, would be great to have. I will use it for CCW.

Here is my hand built, “I think I am finished” Foster frame, Accuracy X .45 with rail and Ff3 dot. At this point I have about 300 down the tube and it shoots very well. The action is very smooth and very tight. Quite please with my first build. The grips are my finish also, Made from some Ebay unfinished bloodwood 1911 panels. I hot knifed the patterns in myself then sealed. Just some finish cut and polish left and I probably won’t do that as it is a shooter, not a safe queen.
