I purchased a new Clapp lightweight commander and well im pretty satisfied .
I've been spoiled buy my Wilson's and Alchemy so should I find a smith and say have at it or just trade it off for a high end 9mm 1911.
The trigger and grip safety slop just bother me.
And the overall slide too frame fit is not that great.

Me personally , if it's accurate and reliable , I'd leave it alone . I don't spend money upgrading a gun unless I plan on keeping it forever .

Shoot the sh*t out of it?
This is a great place to start. I'm betting that once you get it to the range you'll find that it's a better shooting gun than you expect. You'll also be in a better position to decide whag, if anything, you really want to change. They do make great base guns, David Clevinger customized mine and it's a terrific gun.

Move it along to some one else.

I know that if I have issues with something those issues will keep bothering me until I get them fixed.
