I hoped to put these on a future 79’ Colt Combat Commander build, but to my dismay, they are not perfectly parallel to the frame. If you are a woodworker/grip maker, you could probably fix them and have an amazingly figured set of grips. Here’s the description from the ad that I bought them from: 1911 Figured American Black Walnut Grips These grips were made from XXX Fancy Grade American Black Walnut from the original Winchester factory (before they were bought out by Browning). The grip maker purchased a Winchester XXX Fancy Grade rifle stock blank and cut them into 1911 Grips. Own a piece of American history! Standard thickness, beveled bottom, mainspring housing pin cut, no ambi cut, smooth finish.
