Up for sale is a Marlin 1895 GBL in 45-70 Gummit. It is brand new and unfired!

Included with the rifle are the following:
    XS rail
    Wild West Trigger Kit

$800 shipped from my FFL to your FFL. I accept Visa, MasterCard and USPS Postal money orders.

Additionally, I have a couple hundred rounds of higher end factory ammunition that I can add for around half what I paid for it

I have this very gun. Mine wears a Bushnell 1x4, and I can drop 325 gr Horndady FTX into a coffee cup at 100 yds all day long.

That’s awesome sir! Now I’m starting to rethink selling it...at least until I shoot all the ammo!

I depends on whether or not you have a use/application for it, I guess. In Iowa, I don't have to worry about bears, but 45/70 is one of the straight-wall cartridges that is allowed during our deer season. Between that and the possible need to shoot a meth-head thru a cinder-block wall, I don't think too hard about keeping mine.

What a beauty. I have a Marlin .444 Rifle that will print a three shot Clover leaf group at 100 yards. Levers are not accurate, well that a hoot for sure..

How new is it? JM or REM stamp?

I would guess REM....I recently had someone want to trade a JM 1895 45-70 SS and grey wood for my SA 1st Gen TRP Operator and M6 Laser/Light....JM stamped are $1200 plus and very few out there. Had it been Blued and a natural stock I might have gone for it.
I have always wanted a 45-70 after shooting an old Henry (no wood forearm just a Tube Magazine that rotated the load as I recall) years old but it was SASS match and he loaded with black power so the recoil wasn't so bad.

The stamp you want to find is JM stamp on the left side of the Barrel just ahead of the receiver.....I bought a Marlin 1985 .357 mag years ago NIB from the ****'s place for $300 and now it is worth $1000.

Any interest in selling the XS rail separate? I have a 45/70 here in Montana for our larger furry friends when we are camping. I'd like to add a red dot to it this year and the rail would be nice.

PM me if your interested. Thanks and GLWTS

Not the greatest pic. This marlin is about 12 years old and never been loaded.

Mine appears to be neither a Rem nor Jm...I’m going to do some further research!

If you just picked it up a year ago it most likely made by Remington and not Marked with anything to show it.
