Last night, scored a NEW DW Valkyrie on Gunbroker. When all the shipping, transfer fee, etc. are paid for, it will be about $700 under list price......Now the grueling wait begins......

Congrats, that's a sweet little 1911, been eyeballing them myself. I can never find one local to examine.

It's a 9mm by the way. Already have a .45 ECO and I'm trying to move to nines for less expensive range time and softer recoil....

Glad to see the title being a "mild" WOO HOO..... That way when you get it and shoot it you can give it a proper Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Valkyrie.JPG Well, she's here, picked up and cleaned and lubed ready for the range tomorrow. Talk about tight!!!!! Quite the experience trying to get it apart the first time. I'm sure it will loosen up a bit as it gets some use. Trigger setting a 3lb 3oz on a five pull average.....

I already know I want to replace the grips with some Stoner aggressive starburst grips ( https://www.stonercnc.com/1911-aggressive-starburst ). Any suggestions on color? I know the grey/black would look good, but I have those on a 3" Kimber, and would like something different on this.....

**Just a note**... those are probably "thin" bushings, if I remember correctly.

Yes, they are thin, and I want to stick with the thin grips....

Well, got her to the range today and put about 125 downrange. Absolutely flawless, soft shooting, and way more accurate than I am capable of being......The only issue was a magazine issue, some cheap range only mags that I have (5 of them) ALL would not lock back on the last round. All of my good quality mags worked as they should...

    YMMV
