Total noob question but I want to make sure before I order another hammer. I had a trigger job done but I want to put a different hammer. Would this effect my trigger pull?

Yes it will. If the hammer isn’t prepped correctly it most certainly will have a negative effect on a trigger job on other hand if it’s prepped better then the old one it will have a positive effect.
