I love the history associated with WW2 weapons, and have a few in my collection. Here is one of my favorites a Walther made P38 from 1941. It’s all matching including the magazine.

Beautiful example of the AC coded P38. I went through a P38 phase awhile back. Think at one point I had one from each of the three main manufacturers (Walther, Mauser and Spree).

Neato! I too like WW2 weapons. Axis guns especially German ones have more of an ‘evil’ appeal to them because of where they may have been or how many people could have been executed by them. With American guns one wonders how many bad guys, Nazis or Japs it may have killed.
If only guns could talk.

No I don’t. Sold traded them off over the years. Truly enjoyed doing the research on them as I acquired. So much to know!!

1969 a local five and dime store had surplus P-38 with swastika and eagles intact. $79 out the door, Lugers were $89, 303 Enfields were $18, the short barrel with a funnel looking flash hider was $21. Don't recall any German long guns then.

I forgot my profile pic was my p38s, got 2 spreewerk 2 mausers and 7 walthers. Only had 9 when i took this pic.
