It'll probably take so long for GCI to get thru DRC's wish list that any hope for a 5" 9mm will be a couple years down the road, so as a consolation prize, I went with this:

Looks good to me! I've been tentatively thinking about a 5" Trojan in 9x19mm, so that photo isn't doing me any good at all.

Looking forward to hearing how it handles and shoots. :thumb:

A 5" 1911 9mm is my next project. I am thinking of picking one up as a comp. Gun. Congrats!! Range report as soon as it lands!!!

Looking good... I keep planning to buy a 5" 9mm Trojan and always spend the money on something else!

    Thanks folks,

This damn arthritis makes shooting a .45 or 10mm painful after a couple magazines. The 9mm doesn't bother me nearly as much... I can usually go a couple of boxes.

I'm not too fond of STI's black finishes, but the hard chrome looks great (a bit flashy for a carry gun, but this one will just be a range/house gun  ).

In 1911s, I only have a couple .45s left now... my SA Trophy Match, and the Ed Brown Kobra. Those I'll keep as they are both really nice shooting pistols. I was surprised how fast the TRP and RO sold... should have asked for more. :rolleyes2:

Wait! I forgot about the Kimber Ultra Carry... but it may go up for sale soon! :biggrin1:

    Very nice

I've also got a hard chromed STI Trojan.

...except mine was built when they still put the goofy horsehead on it.

Very nice. I have one in .45 with nearly 7k through it now, and it has been awesome! Im sure you will love it. The hard chrome looks great.
