I've been an RMR guy, but the RMR HD and RCR have my attention. Holosun would be good for a Norinco I guess.

I’d recommend against direct milling for the RMRcc. It is a fully proprietary footprint, no other dots on the market will fit so you’re stuck with a single option. Window size is also very small on the RMRcc (smaller than the 407k and eps carry), has bottom loaded battery, just in general is behind on features and capabilities.

If you’re going to direct mill, do the Holosun k footprint or ACRO IMO

The only optic cut I was considering was the nighthawk ios. Who does good work with direct milling for rmr cc footprint ?
I intend on a NH IOS setup as well at some point. I wouldn’t direct mill for the CC because… well you’re stuck with it. I currently either run plate systems or have guns milled for the RMR (full-size) footprint, as it seems as though Trijicon is continuing that footprint and the prevalence of the RMR causes other companies to also utilize it.

I have ran and still have them on guns ranging from Holosun, RMR, SRO. The sight picture in SRO is easiest pickup for me but haven’t had an issue from any of them.

This is what I did for a 5" 40 top end on my 2011. With the little 'winglets' on the 407k, I simply zero'd the dot, went home, and made a little front sight for it that had the dot sitting on top of the front sight when looking through the RDS. Works real good too. :)

Red ( or green) fiber optic front sight is all the red dot I like on a pistol..

When age is a factor and fiber sights or irons are very blurry without glasses, but Red Dots work perfectly......that's why I use Dots now, I have to. Last thing I need is to look for glasses to shoot accurately
That and I've found fibers to be inadequate in lower light.

I've got an RMR and an RCR on the way to compare. I need something for my Staccato.

Am enjoying reading this thread!

Fun to see how many like the Holosun products. Yes, I know that not all models are made in China but the company is Chinese and is a supplier to the Chinese military. Imagine if this was a 1911 vs an electronic sight! Oh, The Horror! The weapon in question would be vilified to no end.
