“NPE” carry gun question

With some of the latest threads about more ammo, I figured I would ask….
Do any of you that daily carry 1911’s, 2011’s, G19’s etc, with extra mags ever have to carry in non permissive environments? If so, do you still carry the same larger pistol and extra mags?
Do you guys have smaller, easier to conceal options for times that you cant have any printing at all?
Or, is your larger every day carry ultra concealed and dialed in no matter what you are wearing?

The enigma holster allows me to carry with zero printing. Extra magazines are easy to conceal.

If things get too awkward, I just decide to not go to that place.

Though I haven't played around with my enigma much, one of the advantages is that you can set the ride height into very deep concealment, where the grip is below the beltline. Probably not going to work with a full size gun, but if concealment is an extremely high premium, might work well

Guys will say they can carry and conceal anything, double stacks, government size, etc.

I've always believed you carry the smallest, most accurate and dependable gun you can find.

For me it's a Nighthawk Counselor as my primary EDC. Carried inside the waist it sits super low and it's thin and light.

I am of the mind to carry the largest pattern pistol you can, personally. Ive carried this way across the globe, and even though i have a permit for D.C., I consider that "non permissive" in the printing sense of the term.

I have a Staccato CS that is a great pistol for its size. I rarely carry it because i carry a fullsize more often than not. But it does help to go smaller sometimes.

fitted collar shirt, Staccato P Heritage with dot and x300, spare 20, Microtech, push dagger, pry bar, etc etc.

Dang dude, makin me feel fat. I need to hit the gym hard and slim my fatass waistline! :ROFLMAO:

The reason I started this thread was sincere. Was wondering if people really carry 2011’s daily, regardless of the environment they are in, and to hear, or see how they make it work. Those pictures are a perfect example that it not only can be done, but done correctly, and undetected. Appreciate it.

I have a CS, and would love to carry it daily, once I get confident with the RDS. It is by far the best pistol I have ever owned. It fits my hand perfect, points/presents for me perfect, and I shoot it better than any other that I have.

My G19 with TLR-7 is my go to when I’m concerned about footprint. Normally I carry a 34 size with X300, small magwell, and optic AIWB at about 1215-1230, the G19 is iron sighted and because it’s got a shorter barrel, I sit it right at 1200 on top of my dick. That helps conceal it a slight bit more and I’ll typically ditch the spare mag on me. I usually try to have an outer garment on as well, even if it’s just a windbreaker.

If I’m even more concerned about printing, I’ll explore off body carry. It’s got its own issues, but I’ve been able to get away with all the fun and enablers I want in a bag. Obviously, specific environment matters. There are situations where I’d get scrutinized but my bag wouldn’t and others where my bag might be searched but I was fairly confident no one would touch me if I didn’t get them a good reason.

Your visual appearance and actions are just as important as the setup IMO. We can all probably guess that we shouldn’t wear a bunch of fun apparel when carrying in an NPE but mannerisms matter a lot too. When I’m real worried about it, I have to force myself not to check to make sure I’m printing. When I don’t care, I don’t have those mannerisms that are really tells so that’s something I have to actively work on.

great point dude. Off body carry has a time and place for sure.

What percentage of the population is in Condition White? A guess on my part is over 99%. The less than 1% are usually carrying themselves. Broad brush strokes there I know.

I carry a Commander, Hi-Power (SA 35), or a GP1hunnert. Two extra mags, couple of moons in pouches for the revolver to match the gun.

Do I print? Probably. Don't really care. The gen pop don't realize it either. Hell, I've gone hours with the butt of the gun fully exposed (not on purpose) and not a word from anyone. They just don't notice, or, just don't care.

Be confident. Don't spend a lot of time adjusting. Banks, Doctor offices, Hospitals, even Funeral Homes. If you don't look guilty, don't act guilty, no one will think you are guilty.
