How do you like it? Im torn in putting down a deposit on that versus spending the extra $4k on an artemis and having them drill for a thumb restNope I just got it
Both are great guns. The Artemis has been my go to LO gun now for the past few months and I shoot it really well. Hahah not unreasonable advice re: not drilling the frame. Their customer service also said its "not advisable"Both are great guns. I actually like the atlas slide stop thumb rest on it and I've gotten used to it with my support hand index.
I literally just picked up the LOC V2 last week and have not shot it in a match yet, still need to zero it in first. But my buddy got one a few weeks ago and he's shot it in like 2-3 matches so far and loves it. This past weekend 2 other random guys in our squad also had the exact same gun coincidentally and one of them was a M class shooter and was shooting it exceptionally well. I have shot a few rounds through it and the steel grip does make it a bit softer recoiling in the hand than the Artemis but the muzzle flip appears to be the same. I will have to get used to that thumb rest too, so I'll let you know after a few matches with it.
With that said, I would highly advise against drilling an Artemis for a frame mounted thumb rest. Not worth recking the value of it.
I almost pulled the trigger on that Costa. Great add!
RMR HD is on my P4 HD. Had a RCR, SRO, 507 COMP and now the RMR HD. Highly recommend the RMR HD.Just bought this yesterday Sunday... Staccato HD P4.5. I've been wanting a 2011 style pistol and narrowed it down to Staccato and the new Kimber 2K11. Both pistols seem built well but the Staccato fit my hands slightly better. I rented a few Staccato's knowing my 1st won't be my last. Loved them all, shocked how well the compact models shot. This pistol for me is more of a range toy, maybe but highly doubt I;d get a OWB holster and carry it, especially here in Florida where I wear shorts, think t-shirt all the time.
My wife said back in August to go pick out whatever I wanted so looking around for a while on this purchase. I walked into a local shop on Sunday and they had around 8 Staccatos in stock and 1 of the HD P4.5's. Bought it on the spot and haggled a really good deal.
I will go shoot it tomorrow and pick out a red dot sight. Probably will go with the Trijicon SRO or RMR HD. I have older RMR's on other pistols and a View attachment 1837424
Sig RomeoX on a P226 X5 Legion.
Grabbed one today. Anxious to see if I get that trigger dialed back and less gritty.I bought this one on a total whim this weekend, just because I'm a fan of the 4.25 + .75 comp configuration. Slide to frame fit was very impressive for what it is and what it's not. Trigger shoe is way toooooo long (simple fix), but trigger setup is solid. DLC comp'd gun for 1400, and looks I don't hate. Likely to take on role of backup gun for the range or it ends up being a fun project gun. I shot 50 rounds with just irons right after purchase and rather enjoyed it. I'm optimistic! Looks good! I haven’t shot mine yet, but hopefully I’ll change that tomorrow. I also want to eventually get a Compact grip to change in and out when I want lol
