Any Hi Power experts?

I was recently cleaning my collection of hi powers and upon close inspection I noticed that one of my hi power roll mark was different from another. On the right side it is marked as "HI POWER" above made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal.
Also this particular one is pakerized instead of having an epoxy finish and it came with black factory case rather a gray colored case. Any experts have any idea what I have?
Attached pics of rollmarks on both sides of the slide.

A mkii would have a rib on the slide. I'm not claiming to be an expert, but does it have a serial prefix of 245, 510 or 511? Have you ever heard of the FN88 model? The Parkerizing on yours is interesting and that's a cool gun. I have nothing to offer at all regarding the black case compared to the grey. There was an FBI contract of Park'ed guns, but the one I saw had a "smoother"(?) finish than yours appears to have.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you get some solid answers.

That "ZT" is FN's code for 2016, so you have a 2016 Parkerized Hi Power. Are there any serial numbers on the barrel? I don't know what to say about the black box, but if you have serial numbers on the barrel the box could mean it came from the custom shop, but that is pure speculation.

There’s nothing special or rare about that gun, I have the exact same thing. 511ZT serial number, same roll marks, same black box. It’s just a typical late model MKIII. I bought mine brand new in 2017. The only thing odd about yours is the finish, which I assume was done by a previous owner. Pretty sure they only came in blue or the epoxy type finish.

I am not sure how I missed this thread but the 511 prefix was used by FN for both Browning and FN rolled marked guns between 1998-2017. It was a change to be compatible with their new inventory software from Oracle. IIRC ones with odd rollmarks first showed up when FN did a run of FN rollmarked guns for the US market. They did not sell well and were liquidated by CDNN. FN choose to leave the BHP under the Browning name only in the US. The 511. prefix was for 9mm the 513 was for 40 S&W.

Later odd ball roll marks occasionally showed up on 511 or 513 prefix guns. If I had to guess they were left overs from the FN runs and they were using up parts. This accounts for the non typical rollmarks on the right side of the slide.

This particular one is odd because it is parkerized not blued or polycoated. To the OP take a pic of the box label. It might tell us if it left the factory parkerized vs one of the other finishes. FN always broke their own rules when it comes to standardization and they never threw away parts. It could have been part of a small contract run which called for a park finish or it could have been leftovers from an older contract which was never shipped. Interesting example thanks for sharing.

My BHP knowledge has been kindly overstated by other members. These are just my WAGs based on some research and buying, selling , trading and customizing a lot of BHPs.
