Alright… does anyone know what we have going on here?

I wasn’t expecting Atlas to release anything for a while after the EOS.

They definitely caught me off guard.

yeah, was looking forward to that since I've not seen anyone review the gun other than Joe Farewell (and I've watched his vids on the gun several times each). I presumed we would see right around that 91 score from him given the quality and the ding for cost.

Mine arrived to my dealer last Friday and will transfer to my LGS this week...can't wait to get it (my first Atlas).

Yeah - the popularity of 2011 has made things escalated to a point that is ridiculous. The Erebus is essentially Infinity price without any options and longer wait time. Meanwhile, Infinity is not customizable and impossible to get as they are gone within 10-30 sec after their "drop".

This is the by product of social media, etc.

I don't know why Atlas has so many "models". Everything they have is pretty much the same gun.
Instead of having the apollo, eos, athena, ares, etc. They should, in my opinion, streamline their guns sorta like staccato.

At the end of the day, these are all 4.6'' guns. When you go to staccato website you either choose steel or aluminium, X series slide cuts or or not, now add in the ported part.

These guns should all be Athena's. Then you choose what slide cut, ported barrel, aluminum or steel grip.

Once you've had one atlas pistol you've had em all. Shooting wise the erebus is the only really mind blowing different one. With their longer lead times and way higher prices I think Atlas is not the way to go anymore.

Honestly, I agree w/ you here. I did hold the Apollo and Eos at SHOT, and they're very nice. BUT - Apollo is just a ported Athena, nothing else is new or unique. The new models look better in person, but I think the Nyx and Athena look better. I wasn't really a fan of the Ares anyways, so it makes sense they "replaced" it. I've been very impressed w/ Vudoos new 2011s, they offer a little more in terms of customization too. They prob won't be as smooth at Atlas, they win there. In terms of 2011s, I feel like getting a custom gun is just as good an option as spending $6500+ on Atlas now. Oh, he also told me lead times are gonna be 8+ monhts unless a dealer has them in...
