This! My personal favorite is Brennon High and that’s only because his seem to be the most accurate in my hands.

With that said, you can’t go wrong with any of the builders at NHC, they are there for a reason

 

I will add Tim Anderson to the mix. I have or had pistols made by all the above except David and they have been great. The Commander Austin built for me in 2019 I never should have sold.

Each might have a build aspect they excel in compared to the others, but it seems you could spin the wheel with NH's current gunsmith line up and do fine.

 

I don’t own a Keith Adcock gun, but everything I’ve seen produced by him has been stellar. He spent a lot of time in the Springfield Custom Shop.

If I end up ordering a President, I’ll be requesting Keith.

 

Pick one of the Guild guys if you can.

 

Why?


I would imagine your pistol is in good hands with ANY of the NHC gunsmiths.

 

I have several NHs built by several different smiths. Multiples by some. I've only had one I'm not happy with even though it went back to the mother ship. Returned to me with the fix.... a fix I saw as a compromise to deal with an issue but created another..... Unfortunately it sits in the safe with a strike against it in my mind..... (and my mind can be a very empty dark space)

 

Who was the gunsmith?

I'm a babe in the woods on this topic.

I have a grand total of one lonely Nighthawk.

It was built by KJ Phillips.

I have yet to find a single flaw with the gun. I've looked hard, too.

Granted, I don't have a pile of rounds through it yet...less than 500. The gun is to my liking in every way.



As far as my Nighthawk deficiency....I'm waiting on Nighthawk to resolve that. 12 months into a wait on a TRS-Comp order now. Hopefully it'll arrive soon. I didn't request any specific builder.....but hope it's on par with first.

 

Any info on Cody Powell out there? I couldn't find a single shred of info about him.

Soon (well, relative to NH's soon) to have one from his brother Austin. A Heine Lady Hawk being built to specs of a model from yesteryear. I'm looking forward to comparing it to Joey's work.

 

Having exactly zero nighthawks at this time, my inner voice tells me it’s like picking which child is your best. He/she would to be a real dud to not be tied for first

 

Picking my first handgun. I'm in Australia so we have a complex limit on number of handguns so I'll wet my feet with something nice.

I decided it should be a NHC Warhawk.

Deciding between one built by Brian Lebaron or Keith Adcock. Anyone with suggestions or input? Thanks

Joey is the one building my NHC Classic I’m waiting on. Ordered last August. Almost at the 9 month mark. His dad did me a favor by asking Joey if he could squeeze it in. No promises that he could, but Joey said he would make room. Can’t wait to get it.

 

I heard a few years ago that Nighthawk smiths stamp their name on the frame under the grips. True?

Anyone know anything about the work of Nighthawks gunsmith Gage Gustavus? How does he compare to their other smiths?
Anyone have a nighthawk made by him?

 

He’s been showing up on a lot of builds lately. Seems to make a nice gun.

I bought this gun used and I have had it for 3 years. I sent it back to Nighthawk after I got it to have the sights changed and an ambi added. Not sure when it was built. There are no stamps under the grips on either side. Not sure if that is unique to the Heinie package or not.

 

Here in Australia, I can only buy off the shelf and I've picked the Keith Adcock one. Just because his name has received commendation once on the forum.

Jordan Shields built my Classic and David Atchley built my Bob Marvel.

 

I have no idea how good my smith is compared to others (because I only have one Nighthawk) but my 9mm Shadowhawk Recon was built by Brian Jones.

It's immaculate.
