They do have free shipping and I’ve had good luck with them but the sales tax once it’s a lot of ammo is significant. But appreciate all the feedback.

That’s not how it works.

Most states have sales tax. However, the rules on sales coming into the state from another state vary from place to place. In many cases, smaller retailers shipping into another state do not have tax nexus in that other state and thus do not have to collect sales tax on sales into that state.

My state has a state sales tax. I buy all of my guns and most of my ammo from retailers that do not have to collect my state’s sales tax.

I tend to agree. Too many factors working against that likelihood. But prices usually go down right after I buy or go up when I don’t, so everyone has that working for them 😀

Velocity Ammo and Outdoor Limited I use often. I’m currently tempted by Freedom Munitions given how cheap their remanufactured is in .45

 

I’ll second for Freedom Munitions. Been using for years with no issues. Frequent deals too.

 

I only use SGAmmo now. Their prices on quality ammo is super hard to beat. There’s stores that do but I’m not moving for 2 or 3 cents per round when I know how fast SG ships and packs well.

 

I like SGammo for 5.56 and 308/7.62 since I prefer to shoot IMI and PPU out of AR's. Hard not to spend the 200 required for free shipping.

I recently ordered from Mass Ammo and got a smoking deal on HST thanks to the link posted on the bargain sub-forum.

I like Bucking Horse for cowboy loads.

Cases of 9mm just keep dropping in price so I order them from whoever has the best price with free shipping that day.

Ammoseek is worth your time as well the bargin sub-forum on Addicts here as well as other firearm forums.

When I buy bulk, I have used Lucky Gunner, but you got pay tax, and UPS/FED-EX shipping is very costly.

 

Call Dillion and order a press with auto drive. Contact a distributor for powder, etc. Too easy!

 

Dillion is close by but I was hoping to buy their aero quad mini gun. 🤣 ….the ammo that goes thru…unreal.

 

Whatever you do, don’t go to scheels!! Walked in the other day and saw boxes of 9mm (50) fmj for a not good but not horrible price. ‘But wait!’, I thought, ‘they have boxes of 1000 rounds.’ I did the math three times in my head and then twice on my phone because it just didn’t make sense that buying 1000 rounds was two dollars per box more expensive. Finally pulled an employee aside to verify the price tags were accurate. ‘Yeah, it makes no sense to me either,” he told me, “if you want to just buy the boxes you will save a lot of money.”

 

sgammo works for me. I live in OR, so no sales tax and that's good. I think tax is going to be a thing we see more and more on interstate sales.

Yesterday I picked up a couple thousand rounds of 5.56 from The Jefferson State Gun Show and it was basically the same price as having it delivered to my door.
