Interesting, you sure? a lot of Charles Daly's were built in the Philippines.

 

Both of mine are built in Italy.

 

I have one in 9mm. You can't beat it for $449!

The only thing I did to mine was lighten the trigger. It's got the light sear and 16 pound hammer spring.

Sweet 1911 in my opinion.

 

I know that quite a few of their guns were built in the Miroku factory in Japan (where modern Brownings are built) in the past. I’m a fan of those guns.

 

Charles Daly went out of business a few years ago, and the name/trademark was eventually sold to another company. Prior to the new owners of the name, 1911s from Charles Daly were made in the Philippines. Under the the resurrected brand, I think the 1911s are now made in Italy. I haven't seen one yet, so I can't comment on the quality.

Holy mutha did a detail strip after the first range day today to clean up any metal chips etc in the new Charles Daly and ’bout couldn’t get the main spring housing back on. Strong spring.

 

Do you have a 45 or 9mm. Inquiring minds want to know.
