I ordered slide milling service from CHPWS. On checkout, the site said that someone would be contacting me over the phone to arrange payment, that they do this to prevent credit card fraud. No one ever contact me. I have reached out to them several times via email (their contact us page does not have a phone number just a form submittal) and have not received any response at all. This has gone on for over a month. Has anyone heard of any issues going on with that shop?

Thanks everyone! I've had Primary Machine do a slide mill on my Shadow 2, and they were great to deal with and did exemplary work. Unfortunately in this case it's an M&P 45 that I want milled, and they don't do S&W slides. I originally wanted to use CHPWS because they advertise doing an optic cut identical from the CORE cut that is OEM on M&P, and I intended to use the Holosun SCS M&P optic. CHPWS can go pound sand at this point, I'll pick one of the myriad other outfits that come with better recommendations from the crew here. Cheers!

In 2021 I had a poor experience with one of the CHPWS polymer plates. Due to a misunderstanding between the install video, the installation instructions online, and my own limited knowledge of MRDS installs at the time, I managed to destroy the plate by overdriving the screws into the slide, deforming the plate screw hole chamfers. After contacting the company and explaining what happened, I wasn't offered any consideration. All of it was basically my fault, of course. I don't have any ill will to them, but the whole experience was less than enjoyable. I just chalked the $70 loss up to a learning experience.

My only milling experience was my previous G48 that I had done for a HS 507k by Primary Machine. They were awesome to deal with.
