Wow what a shame. for the price of that 22 colt should have done a better job with it. Was on my possible buy list but will have to think that one over now.

 

Yep, pretty disappointing. But, to be fair I've had guns from other manufacturers that had to go back for issues and every time they were fixed. Just wish they would spend as much time and money on QC as they do marketing!

 

But I was hoping Colts quality and management would be better when CZ took them over .

 

I looked at one and went with the S&W 617 instead. I liked the recessed chambers for the .22lr rim on the 617 cylinder. It's been an awesome gun so far. Yours will be right when it comes back, and knowing it's been looked over by Colt is reassuring.

 

I have a 617 10 shot and it is one of my favorites.

 

Well, sad to hear but I'm sure they'll make it right. Will be a great gun.

Pricey for sure but mine has been pretty sweet. I was drawn to the large extractor wheel. I thought it would help with ejecting tight cases. I have a couple of Smiths that get tight after a few rounds and thought the Colt design (wheel style without recessed chambers) may help get those suckers out. So far so good for something bought on a whim.

 

Hello all,
Received the KC .22 back from Colt today. Looks good and functions fine with snap caps. We'll see tomorrow or the next day when I can get to the range if all is good. Fingers crossed!

PS: Colt customer was great with updates anytime I called. 5 weeks turnaround.
