Coonan 357, yes but which one? 'A' or 'B'?

Hello everyone, a few weeks ago I managed to get an elderly collector to give me a fantastic Coonan 357 mag.
I'm not sure of the model though, so I post photos of the disassembled gun where you can see the barrel and all the other parts. I also add the photo of the screws of the grips because I saw that they are worn out and I would like to put new ones, but I don't know the English/American thread and I don't know how to measure it. Could someone kindly tell me what size these screws are? Obviously I'll keep the original ones, I just don't want to lose them. Thank you all.

Yes, definitely a Model A, and that barrel is complete vaporware. It is irreplaceable for all intents and purposes.

I am a long time fan of the Coonan pistols. This is an example I might not shoot.

With that said however…
The finest Coonan pistols made were the last ones, the Coonan Classic. And since the company is absolutely gone (and I would be shocked if they EVER return) the market for the Coonan Classic has gone nutty.

This Model A you show is not entirely original with that Millett rear sight, and unless you have the original box then collectors may not pay a premium to get that Model A.

That right there might be a good argument for shooting the wheels off it — because Coonan .357’s are a whole helluva lot of fun.

Thank you very much, the collector who sold it to me says he bought it that way, with that notch, here in Italy there would be no others and nothing can be imported from the USA, not even the grips. What can you tell me about the screws? I would like to replace them to avoid losing them but your threads are different from the European ones, can you tell me what size they are? Thanks for your help.

Not even Italian firms like Toni Systems or Tanfoglio can help with 1911 grip screws?

A replacement Model A barrel should not be that difficult to duplicate. It is roughly a standard 1911 Government length barrel with the rear radial locking recess omitted and an extension added to the barrel hood.
Tony System no, Beretta has metric threads, but I found something at Brownells Italia with the size you recommended. I ordered them, 4 screws 22 euro😨. I'll let you know if they fit. Thanks for your help
