So after putting just over 700 rounds through the Fusion Firearms XP Pro Double Stack 1911 I decided it was time to show her some real love.

Tuned the extractor a tad to simply smooth things out, 9lb Recoil Spring, 17lb Main Spring, Wilson Extra Power Firing Pin Spring, all the polish and love possible, and then for good measure the Red Dirt Trigger to finish her off, for now... love the design and ease of installation w/ the Fusion Mag extensions, did have to file the baseplates down a little as they had some burs preventing them from sliding into the locking slot, but overall look great and were a lot easier than most to install. I love that they are Tenifer coated just like the pistols as well the coating is so durable. I'm now over 1500 rounds and couldn't be happier!!

Didn't want to mix up the above post with to much about different guns, so now we switch gears to the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus 3.5" Ported. She's a beautiful pistol and had it not taken me almost 4hrs to simply remove and reinstall an optics plate I may like her more... lol, the Optics plate that came one it RMSC was so tight I had to take a chisel and hammer to it for 45mins to get it off. What a nightmare. Then it took me about 3hrs of hand fitting to get the new RMR plate to fit properly. We were not off to a good start, but she shot great at the range aside from 1 light primer strike. Everything about this pistol has been tight... Even taking out the slide stop to strip it required excessive use of force... lol, and then removing the safeties was a pain in the neck. I actually had a follower on YouTube tell me he broke his trying to take them off.

So, yesterday I dove into the trigger job on the Romulus, I had purchased a Red Dirt trigger for her prior to even owning the gun... lol, took a bit of fitting to get it all to work properly, but it's a phenomenal result in the end. The light is temporary junk that I had laying around, but it's short and fat like the gun and actually fits the look well so I'm trying to find something a little higher quality with similar aesthetic to replace it. Something is already rattling around inside it after 300 rounds.

Post Trigger install video... I was exhausted after a long day so don't mind me blabbering.

Little Update on the Romulus, swapped out the light for a TLR-7X. Increased to a 23lb Main Spring, Extra Power Firing Pin Spring, Swapped out all the MIM internals, fitted and polished the new ones (disconnector, sear, firing pin stop, ejector, and hammer strut). She's running strong now. Did have an issue where the guide rod puked out the front of the pistol at the range before I had even touched it... lol, so I sorted that out and am working on an upgrade looks like the DPM setup for the BUL Armory SAS II Ultralight will work.

Little love to this Mac 9 DS Comp... 17lb Main Spring, Extra Power Firing Pin Spring, Tool-less guide rod on the way with a 10lb Spring. Trijicon SRO, Trigger is on the way once it arrives she'll be fully polished and ready to work. For an "affordable" option she's very well built and a solid shooter.
