QVO Tactical CS Magwell - QVO Tactical, LLC

I tried this one, the fit was great BUT I have 10rd mags as required by my state. Which on the CS are flush mags which weren’t compatible with this mag well. The mags wouldnt seat and if I did manage to get it seat the mag wouldn’t eject. So I ended up returning it. QVO customer service was excellent. Shot alil video showing them the issue and I returned the item for a full refund.

Just got a chance to snap a pic. Here is the Atlas Alpha grip. You can see there is a lip on the front. I also heard today from Cheely that their magwells should fit an Atlas. So I ordered one. We will see….

That sure does look like the Cheely profile. Strange that one made specifically for Cheely would be too big.

Not sure if the Akai would fit a Cheely or not, but it definitely does not fit Atlas. Hopefully the Cheely fits.

The XL I ordered says it does not fit Legacy or STI polymer or metal grips. So hopefully I am good, since I think they are bigger grips.

I know this is an older thread, but looks relevant. I’m looking for a carry magwell for an Ares 4.25. From what I’m reading here, the Atlas carry magwell doesn’t fit the Ares, strange as that seems to me.

Assuming that’s correct, does anyone have thoughts on a carry magwell that’s a fit for the Ares?

That grip is designed to be used without a magwell.

I will chime in that it was hard to find a magwell to fit the Alpha grip that was not an Atlas one. My experience was that no magwell would fit the Ares. Not enough meat on the grip base.

Thank you both. I guess the missing meat on the grip is consistent with it not being made to fit one. I appreciate the info.

The Hayes magwell fits the alpha grip. There is a gap in the back but it’s not loose. It also has a set screw.

Has anyone tried this “heavy steel” magwell? I was thinking of putting it on my XL but unsure if it’s that different. Currently have the standard “tactical advantage” one that comes stock. I’ve noticed the XLs come with the bigger aluminum one now and not the tactical one.
