Freedom Munitions has a program where you can send in expended brass. They give you a certain amount of monetary credit per pound of brass. I haven't done it, but I have pondered it. I have also thought about this....by the time you get through boxing up the brass, pay for the shipping, ordering the new ammo and paying for it, and then paying for the shipping on the new ammo as well as state sales tax...is it even worth messing with? Do you really end up saving much of anything? Anyone out there do it? (If you're in Idaho or Texas you have to pay sales tax.)

I don't buy from them anymore but when I did, I used the brass credit program. For me, there were two major advantages: I ordered from them when shopping was free; I was lucky enough to be able to ship the brass from work for free (I usually sent back 20-30 lbs). It was well worth it in that circumstance.

Sent from my Note 5, which thinks it can spell better than I can...

Extreme Bullets offers a similar program for bullets and their preprinted or unprimed brass. It's never made financial sense to me. If I buy ammo which is infrequently, I buy from SG Ammo. Their prices are fair and delivery times are acceptable. I keep brass until is splits or won't hold a primer; it's worth more to me to keep it.

Exactly. I buy most of my ammo from Sportsmansguide. I am a member which gets me a small discount...I catch it at a decent price...I can always find a code for free shipping....no tax. I didn't think the Freedom Munition brass program would help anything...but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something.
