I use welding gloves. Like the cheap $16.79 Rapicca Welding Gloves on Amazon..for anything related to handling the suppressor while it is hot. When I want to put the host/can away hot, and not wait for it to cool down, I use the Mechanix Suppressor Transport Bag.

It can be had for $13.99 on Amazon. I've gotten my 300blk suppressors red hot, put them in the STB, and drove right home without any cool-off period. No material burnt on to the suppressor, and I've never had issues with the heat coming through and effecting my range bags/cases.

I know this is a little older post. But have you still been able to find the STB that cheap? I was looking for them but they seem to be $40-$50 now.

I have Ove Gloves for removing and curling iron holders to use for storing on my rifle suppressor as it gets extremely hot. I also have a silicone mat thingy that I use sometimes when I just need to set it down when switching rifles.

My pistol suppressor never gets too hot to handle with my bare hands.

I just picked up one of those curling iron holders. No more burning my range bags!

$13.99 on Amazon for the Mechanix Suppressor Transport Bag. The best investment you'll ever make. You can throw the STB over your can red hot, and drive right home. No melting. I've had my B&T and Surefire cans almost glowing, and the STB has held up perfect.

Have a couple suppressor covers for 30 cal and 5.56. Only reason I use them is that I'm the scumbag type that will do back-to-back Bill drills, El Presidente and so on and eventually after a second mag, the mirage will get bad enough to obscure my red dot.
I don't worry about having to remove it while hot, since I'll let it cool down and go shoot another rifle/pistol while it's cooling.
Absentmindedly grabbed my can once at a TNVC NV course once and never did that again. The thing was so hot that under nods the can looked like I had a white light on. Even one of the instructors told me to turn off my light and had to show him, nah hoss, that's a hot can. When I went to put my rifle in the rack it started to slide and I just instinctually reach to to grab it. Luckily only got a few fingers on it before dumb brain said to stop. Blistered tho...

go to Amazon and look up Silicon BBQ gloves. I use those to help take it off. I've used a welding glove before and it got too hot for that. even if with the Silicon glove, it gets hot, but it helps with grip as well. if you really wanted some additional heat protection, you can wear a thick cotton glove under the silicon welding glove and take it off.

After that, I put it inside a silicon curling iron sleeve.

Now though when I know I'm going to be shooting a lot (like full auto) I have silicon mats (like the kids mats or project mats so that glue and stuff comes right off) and I line a 50 cal ammo can with that silicon mat (that way the heat won't transfer to the metal can as easily) and drop the suppressor in there. you can get a couple mats on amazon pretty cheap and double up on the layers.

I've melted quite a few suppressor cases and gun bags.

Magpul makes a suppressor cover I've heard good things about, but $100 versus some cheap oven mitts is a tough pill. It's more style points at that rate (tho the twisted side of me thinks its metal to see a guy whip out grandmas red and white gloves to take off a can).

Also, kinda common sense, but don't immediately plop the suppressor back in its foam-lined box when you are done with it. I saw a guy burn 3 mags through a Galil and toss it in their foam case. The foam melted instantly and darn near welded itself to the barrel. I don't know if he ever got it off...
