I'm looking for an IWB holster for my new HK CC9 and I'm stuck between these two. I was ready to pull the trigger on the Tulster but I've been told that the Tenicor holsters are a step up and worth the extra money. Does anyone here have any experience with these two?

Holsters are such a personal thing. Tenicor is my go-to. I have four of them. They just fit me right. I had a Tulster, which was a nice holster, but it just wasn't comfortable for me.

As a side note, the Tenicor Wear pistol finishes fairly heavily compared to others I have used. I am just mentioning it in case that is an issue for you.

They are personal and I'm very picky. I have drawers full of holsters to prove it. The finish wear is going to bug me. I like the adjustability of the Tenicor and the leather lining of the Garrett. Going to have to give this some more thought but I'm leaning towards the Garrett.

Silent thunder is a great option for a $100 holster. I think it was tenicor that I had trouble with, the belt loops were way too small on the OWB.

If I could get my Internet to speed up a little bit I will send you a picture. I just bought an IWB from bucks holsters down in Cape Coral Florida. They had a big presence at the local gun show and I think their little kydex rig serves the purpose nicely.

Sicario,

Both the Guardian and G02 Claw are IWB holsters. I do not have an optic on my P365 and it carries very well in a Guardian at the 3:30 position. If you plan on adding an optic, the G02 Claw MAY work better but I can't really say. The Silent Thunder Slim is their dedicated AIWB holster. If in doubt, give them a call. They actually answer the phone. Garrett holsters are highly crafted and of top quality.

Tenicor makes a fine product as well. I have a buddy who had a difficult time attaching the belt clips to his Tenicor holster but that may have just been him. I give HIGH marks to the Tenicor FERO 2 OWB Mag Pouch. It is easy on and off yet is rock solid. The tension is adjustable and the mags fit perfectly. Tenicor does not list a phone number but they usually respond to an email within 24 hours.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I bought my first Tenicor because they seemed like the best available option when I got my CC9. Only kydex I've been happy with before was JMCK and Garrett. What can I say? The Tenicor works while I'm having two proper leather holsters made.

I find myself using an old Galco leather IWB I had laying around more then the Tenicor, but that's probably a me thing. Quality is good and if you like kydex, then go for it.

Just got the Tulster for my CC9. I wanted a single clip and that's the only reason I went with the Tulster over Tenicor. One day delivery was sweet. Quality - It seems like it will last about a year for me, which would be great. It's durable but nothing like Garrett quality. I feel like my Garrett could outlast my gun. I have a Garrett for my SW MP Shield Plus Carry Comp which I can't carry AIWB.

Bottom line is the Tulster works well for AIWB and is way better in every way than anything else I tried. I would try a Garrett for this gun but I'm not waiting a other 2+ months for a holster. Also, the last holster I bought from them didn't fit my gun at all and I had to return it with postage paid by me! So unfortunately, as much as I like their holster, I won't be buying another Garrett.

As I have seen, Tenicor protects the mag release with a little bump out of Kydex. I had a recent issue with Garrett. I bought their IWB holster for a P 2000 with optic. The new VP9 A1K fits perfectly. Additionally the CC9 fits but I had an issue with the magazine being occasionally loose in that holster. I relieved a spot with Mr Dremel and same issue happened. Just the fact that the magazine release is not covered by the Kydex appears to be the problem. The
release gets bumped and the mag is loose, ready to fall out.

I had the same issue with another holster for my BUL armory UL, mag release exposed and got bumped at 4 O'Clock carry.
